Fair play to Atalanta, their tactics were spot on from the first minute. They were better in every area, bar the goalkeeping department. Their pressing game and high tempo in addition to precise speedy play by Papu Gomez and Moralez made Milan go further and further back. If it wasn't for Donnarumma, it could have been an embarrassing scoreline. Tonight we could clearly see that without Bonaventura, our midfield is almost non-existent. De Sciglio was very lucky to stay on the pitch. Right at the end, Cerci should have won it, but it would have been the most undeserved victory ever.

Donnarumma is doing very well. I'm not taking anything away from Atalanta because they did play well. And I'm glad Niang finally got his chance, but he looks alittle selfish and tries to be too clever, however this will get better with more expiernce. Poli still bugs me a little, not having Bonaventura and Bertolacci really hurt Milans mid, also was surprised not to see De Jong come in. Calabria is a solid fullback from the start or off the bench. Mijailovic is doing a fine job and AC Milan is only going to get better.

That kid, Alberto Grassi of Atalanta, is very good. 20 years old.

This was by far the worst match of MIlan this year! And when I saw how bad Cerci was (and I'm not talking only about that last chanc that he'd miss), along with that idiot Montolivo, who is constantly going from bad to worse, it makes me sick! They should've lost this match!
Isn't a shame that a team like Milan cannot get out from their half (literally) the entire second half, and the only chance they've had was in 93rd minute? And on the other side, Atlanta didn't score only thanks to the great Donnarumma.
At moments like this, I'm feel ashamed that I'm Milan fan!

a tad melodramatic, don't you think? The performance vs Napoli at home was by far the lowest point of the season. Ashamed? Sounds like someone is only prepared to jump on the bandwagon for the good times. The bigger picture shows we've won 10 points out of a possible 12. Our best midfielder was suspended, and Bertolacci was injured too.

Milan just lucky tonight, especially for the second half.. Atlanta with 0 shoot on goal before kucka sub. Lucky de sciglio didn't get sent off and lucky that calabria didn't produce penalty to Atalanta. Donnaruma is a beast!

Lucky?? Papu clearly dived. You could see clearly that he begins to go to ground even before Calabria has slid in. Fantastic decision by Piero! De Sciglio though....he survived because his kick on Pinilla was accidental. But the first challenge could have easily been a red.

why? definitely one point gained. Last season, you could be guaranteed we would lose this game.

I didn't say it was like a defeat. I've said it would have been unfair had we won it. Much rather a point than nothing, especially in a game when the opposition were clearly superior.

That was Niang's first start of the season. In the second half, he was tiring and when Luiz Adriano came on, I was amazed it wasn't for Niang. He looked spent. The kid has now played right wing, left wing and centrally. As we saw when he was at Genoa, he needs to be given a run in the side in a stable position to begin to make his mark. Yes I would have started De Jong ahead of Poli. It seems Sinisa thinks Nigel and Montolivo cannot function in the same side...not sure about this.

When looking at the fixtures - Sassuolo, Chievo and Atalanta at home, with Lazio away sandwiched in, realistically you would hope for three wins and then hope for a draw away to Lazio (such has been Milan's form away to the bigger teams). We've picked up 10 points, and undefeated in 5.

Juventus next...

Yes niangs experience will come with time. I do think Milan will pick up points and be a better team once they get some players back. I just don't see the reason for De Jong not to play alongside Montolivo. Poli can not be that much better. I think Juventus-Milan will be a draw, as long as Milan can stay calm and composed. Bacca and Cerci could reck on the counter.
