A much needed positive start! Still a lot to work on of course, but Milan did something that they never did last season. They were efficient in front of goal. El Shaarawy was the best player on the pitch by a mile. Alex also played extremely well in defense, and he has brought much needed height. Evidently Menez was ineffective, but this was down to being made to play in a position that doesn't suit. Diego Lopez's penalty save would have done an immense amount for his confidence, however I was getting rather frustrated that such a towering figure wasn't coming out to grab crosses and corners. He was staying on his goal line a bit too much. He needs to work on commanding the penalty area, especially given his reach and height. tough games to come, but a very positive start!

seriously guys, if jamez rodriguez price is 60million, el shaarawy price could be 90million!! this kid very uderrated. and TBH, without balotelli, milan played really impressive, high-pressing and no one lazy player, with sonic speed counter attack in flank by shaarawy and menez. that was really good match.

calm down! James finished top scorer at a world cup. El Shaarawy had an injury ravaged season, and now he needs to get going again. judging a player on one match is ridiculous. Yesterday was certainly a big big positive for Milan and El Shaarawy, however consistency is what makes champions and good teams. Menez was poor, but this was more due to him being played in an unnatural position. He will ultimately compete with honda and el shaarawy to play on the wings. When he doesn't have the ball, his input is pretty much useless. Milan will be more balanced, when there is a focal point in attack in the shape of torres. I believe that Niang would have done a better job as a centre forward yesterday, but he's still growing.

"Honda? he is great player and underrated. I told you 20 days ago" Said Inzaghi. Good manager not only know how to develop good tactics, formation, etc. Most importantly, he MUST know his players well than others.

Decent performance however we still lose solidity when our lead is more than 1 goal, more team work needed still, but great result. Hopefully we grow from here. FORZA MILAN

Flying start from Milan. I am very happy they beat a good frustrating team like Lazio. It gives me goosebumps to see Filippo Inzaghi become manager of Milan and well dressed after what he has done for Milan when he was a player.
