Incredible comeback, not to take anything from Ronaldo, but Messi's hatrick today makes everything else look mediocre, especially when his team needs him most. All goals were beautiful and 2 from his weaker foot. The last one he run from far distance and out of nowhere scored... hat off. And big credit to Bravo too, a big save when 1 0 down.

In one hand you have a diver and a cheat [Ronaldo]. And on the other hand, someone who no word can really describe him, simply "Messi".

Comeback king Messi. I hope he is better than C.Ronaldo.

Messi is back to his best, his feet are mezmorising!! I would love to see him in EPL to see how he stands up, he would bang in the goals but I have serious doubts he would score as many as in La Liga.
0
MrFooty 9 years ago
i don't think he would because EPL has stronger defenders. Ronaldo was more effective because he didn't try to dribble his way to goal. Messi's only chance would be his freekicks or penalties but then again, the standard of refereeing in the EPL is higher than La liga.

hmm lets see; Torres, aguerro, sanchez, costa. messi is better than all of them so using only one single brain cell one would conclude yes, messi would be successful in the most overrated league in England. :)
0
MrFooty 9 years ago
Once again a "one" brain cell comment. Why do I bother? Because of you! All the players you mention expect Messi are affective in that style of league. Messi is great no doubt. That's not the question. How great? My answer..plain and simple for people like you...20% less....and I'm being nice. Have a goodnight!
0
MrFooty 9 years ago
Btw for the record I said 20% simply for his physic not his skills and the referees in England. I know because I lived there long enough to judge my game!!!!!

cr7 is having a great season he may win the golden ball this year but Messi is way better and above him..and please tell CR7 to stop diving he doesn't need that to score more goals..

@nosrejadorable - What is the point of saying Messi is better than Ronaldo simply because he dived? So what that he dived? I would agree that it wrong to dive in the game, but Messi DID dived. Ronaldo, Robben, Neymar, Rooney, You name it, actually most of the players dived. Everyone want to win and everyone want to score goals. No one like to lose, everyone want to win trophies - so they do everything they can to win it.That is why Messi and Ronaldo are absolutely the best players I have ever seen. Two different class destroying other teams. It just amazing. I know for the fact that there won't be other "new Messi or Ronaldo" because they both are literally one of the kind.

Again, Busquets is the weakest player LE has currently in Barca, slowest and poorly connects the defence line to the attacking line of Barca. Alves had a good game today which helped a lot after what seems to be his worst season in terms of contribution he used to make. I mean, this season he was just too random, mostly making wide crosses which makes his great efforts become useless.

btw, i'm not blaming Busquets for the goal, that was a foul, but he could have also passed the ball. Anywyas, this is about his overall performance this year.

So, if Barca and RM played most of EPL teams, their wins wouldn't be predictible? Or you are just being sarcastic of this stereotype?

top of the table in premier league-man utd/mancity/chelsea first place. arsenal has laid claim to 4th. everyone else europa league. spain- athletico/madrid/barca(more champions league trophies than all premier leagues) - the last few teams win europa. italian juventus. germany-bayern munich league. with a runner up dortmund thats in relegationzone this year. So yup la liga has easy teams huh.

Oh boy, La Liga is so predictable. It seems they are running the league just for 2 teams and rest of the teams just exist. Nothing beats the feel of EPL

Barrca 9 years ago
I guarantee you La Liga top 5 have more quality than EPL top 5. EPL is so overrated, champions league makes it clear year after year. Also, let's not forget the best players in EPL right now are all from La Liga.

Like Pique, Ronaldo and Bale (just to mention some stars. there are many more) are not from EPL. Think a bit before commenting!

@Moh: Pique and Bale are not the best players in La Liga. There are many more better than both of them.Think before commenting

ok lets see. aguerro costa sanchez- (top scorers) silva navas coutois toure TORRES. all from la liga. bale pique ronaldo. ronaldo only top scorer the rest are there to spit shine his shoes. so epl better than la liga? btw madrid had 9 champions league before ronaldo. messi has two with barca and on paper a weaker team.

grebek 9 years ago
spain dominate the europe, ucl and europa league. last season still from la liga. EPL was great on tv only, EPL live show was so epic because of jim beglin and friends, famous one, but lack of quality. la liga still the best so far, no one deny it

fortunately messi doesnt cry for blatter to extend voting date like penaldo did. have it doesn't change the fact messi will always go down in history as top3 best of all time. at 27.

barca has to play like the old times.. try to attack in the penalty area oftenly and faster in tiki taka.. because if they control the ball too long.. the opponents now already can read their tactics and barca will lost the ball easily..
