I'm not saying Belgium's goal was lucky but I voted Belgium lucky cuz Russia played better. Russia just couldn't find the net with all the opportunities they made. You have to admit, Belgium's defense was questionable at times.

Belgium's stratagy in first 2 matches to Algeria & Russia was too conservative. Players are requested to control the ball in their feet instead of fast attack. Thanks for the plenty of talents sitting at bench, coach may modify the tactics and substitute (e.g. Fellani in 1st match and Mirallas+Origi in 2nd match) effectively. And it win .................. I believe Belgian can get overto last 8.

Russia's best players were holding back themselves and behaved as if the ball was in their way. When occasionally drifted too close to the Belgian goal, they had to make sure the ball would fly the wrong way.The game was spectacularly boring and ugly to watch, filled with staged fights and overacted injuries. The level was way below zero, let alone world-cup standard. Then in the last minutes, suddenly there was a sudden flash of real football, one action whereby a player found the ball, passed it at the location where there was actually another player, who then properly kicked the ball and goal there was.The Russians were watching the goal as mere outsiders and as if they never learned about defense. Classical scenario of fixed matches.

You don't know the meaning of the word struggle. ALgeria had 3 shots in total while one was a penalty. They took their points and thats it. If it's a 15-0 you're looking after go watch another sport. I like the way they play they can go far like this

Fact is, Belgium may be overrated but are they rated better than England? Yes. And Belgium's still in the World Cup. Were they rated better than Spain? No. But Spain's no longer in the race. Bottom line is, the World Cup, especially this one, does not give a sh!t about your ratings. Beasts struggle against underdogs and underdogs trample on the beasts. You won't know for sure if Belgium is overrated til they start losing. At least they didn't need the help of the referee to win their games, right?

Comparing the English and Spanish exits to the Belgian progression seems a bit harsh, since Belgium was in probably one of the easiest groups of this World Cup and the English and Spanish groups were debatably the hardest groups in this World Cup..

Congratulations to Belgium, this is the weakest Russian team since the beggining of the 21th centuary. I think im startin to understand English football association when they dismissed Fabio Kapello . He is an old 1d1ot with chicken scary tactics , wrong first 11 squad and late subs. Dzagoev 82 min and Kerghakov 90 min . Two strikers , nah!
