England have builded their squad well. They have young, passionate and quality players but Roy Hodgson cant manage this new generation. He and his mentality are old. Eddie Howe would be great for these players. Young manager, young team. Perfect duo

England can't even do anything with their golden generation of scholes, terry and co in the past. What make you think she can do more now? Their players now pale in comparison

It looked like a blatant push on Jagielka in the lead up to Holland's winning goal. How on earth did the referee miss that foul?

Mark Peters 8 years ago
Dude .. that's just a body check and it's completely legal.

England have weak players and falls easily ...

Oh stfu Mark Peters, everyone on here saw that he shoved him over. You got the win, but the least you can do is admit that was a foul. Just makes you look stupid if you can't see that...
2
CFCKings 8 years ago
oh, and your player stood on the line to deliberately impede the keeper. Guess you missed that part too..?

Typical english fans who can't accept the better team won

This happened in EPL every weeks. Body check no penalty OK.

John Stones has been shaky in defence for both Everton and England this season. He must still be affected by his aborted transfer to Chelsea. England's form mirrors that of Everton this season too. Brilliant in 1 game but awful in the very next. I foresee a quarter-final place at Euro 2016 at best for the 3 Lions.

How an earth is this ref a professional? Okay, The penatly is fair but that 2nd goal is clearly a push in the back which's a foul. England should have won it. Good game though.

The Wembley pitch seems to be too slippery all the time... I see players always slipping on here and the ball accelerates because of it making it more difficult to play. Judging by YT videos, the old Wembley actually looked better.

Btw that isn't meant as an excuse to losing... Netherlands played good.

Both England and the Netherlands played a good game of football. Not brilliant football, but good enough to win this time round.

If Dutch lost this game the World would be saying "how the hell did this crappy England team managed to beat the Dutch"

I would love to see how a fit and in form wilshere would integrate into this young squad. Could be exciting!

Good result for the Dutch here. They have proven that they are still a team to be reckoned with despite their nosedive since the world cup. The fact they managed it without Robben and Sneijder is another plus. England are picking up, though: if they'd played Holland at the World Cup it would have been 4-0 not 2-1.

Well worked goal by England/ Vardy. We were a bit unfortunate with the penalty and then a possible foul for the 2nd. But it's shown up areas to improve upon for the Euros.

I am happy with the way we are playing. It's more fluid, up-tempo, and a whole lot better than what I've been seeing the past few years.

But just to be clear, I think we still have a long way to go before we become a 'great' team. However, recent performances haven't been bad, though.

John Stones is really off form this season. Because of his mistake it led to Holland's penalty.

I think is Danny Rose

Stones was slow and unsteady, then slipped and gave the ball away. Forster made a great save but Rose accidentally hand balled a few seconds later.

honestly compare them to top class national teams and you will see why. They overhype the england squad just as much as they overhype the premier league
