Antonio Conte Breaks Premier League Record with Monthly Award

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has won the December’s Premier League manager of the month for the 3rd month running, becoming the 1st to do so in Premier League history!

The Blues won all six of their league matches during the final month of 2016 as part of a 10-match winning streak which took them to the top of the table.

The Italian tactician edged out Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp, Manchester United’s Jose Mourinho and Mauricio Pochettino, of Tottenham Hotspur to the award.

Chelsea equalled the Premier League record of 13 consecutive victories during the three glorious months but their winning streak came to an end on January 4 with a 2-0 defeat to Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

“This award shows we’re working very well,” Conte said. “December was
a great month for us. It was important for the table and for our
confidence.”

“It’s a great honour for me but I want to say thanks to all of my
players, my staff (pictured below) and the club because we won the
award together. Now it’s important to continue to work very well
together.

“I enjoyed my first Christmas period a lot. This type of atmosphere
only happens in England and it was fantastic. I hope to experience it
again many times in the future.

Congratulations Conte for the wonderful achievement.
am really curious how does Conte maintain an injury free squad..
The depth of the squad is good as well.
Willian/Pedro , Fabregas/Matic, Costa/Batshuayi and two world class CDMs.. This list of star names speaks for itself.
Compare it with second placed Liverpool, our bench is one of the weakest.
I have a bad instinct that we will succumb to the pressure paving a free way for Chelsea. :(

@AlexBatak Indeed, he is a winner and that is clear. Also, would like to give Hiddink a small shout for letting him a team in better shape that the one Mourinho left when he was sacked, if you don't mind. ;) Its nowhere near what Conte did for the club I know but I felt it helped a bit. :D
