Wanted to know what your favorite World Cup matches are (apologies if this topic has been posted before its been a while)

Personally the 2014 match where Netherlands beat Spain 5-1 resonates with me and I get good memories thinking back to watching it.

For some reason, my favorite are alway those I watched with other member of my family. XD

Recently, the Argentina vs Netherlands in 2014. The fact that Mascherano told Romero that today he would become a hero just gives me goosebumps. Also just seeing how happy the country was reaching a final in the WC. Shame we couldn't be the ones to win.

Favorite World Cup match(es) ever

Uruguay 1-1 Ghana
in fact a number of Uruguay games from 2010. This game because of that Suarez incident but, Forlan was on god mode for the whole WC, I almost fell in love with him.

Germany 4-1 England
it would've been 2-2 at the break, from memory, if Lampard's goal had counted. If it did, England might have gone on to win that.

it was anyone's game, that foot save from Casillas on Robben while diving the other way still gets me.

2006 portugal vs netherlands AKA battle of nuremberg.
lots of tackes and physicality and the worse, THE REF. most memorable but not really a great game.

2010 ghana vs uruguay AKA anyone can be gk
many chances for ghana but uruguay is the team despite suarez handball.

2014 germany vs algeria
best moment: lahm pulls down brahimi's pants
algeria is the surprise of 2014 wc forcing germany thru xtra time. something that england can only dream of.
