If Barcelona made it to the UCL final...

In the hypothetical case that Barcelona made it to the UCL final, Messi and Neymar would not be allowed to play due to the fact that its held in Cardiff and they have a travel ban against people with open investigations. I dont believe Barca will make it but imagine the scandal that would have errupted had this actually happened. I recall PSGs Arruier was also denied entry to London to face Arsenal due to having an open investigation for violance.

Wales is still in the UK. Shouldn't the ban still apply?

I think you're right, Dynast, and that it does apply.

An interesting assumption. I don't think it would've been a problem. UEFA will allow the UCL Final played without Messi and Neymar? Impossible. They would come up with another option or make the rules out of order (on this exceptional case) with their power.

Emre it would have been very interesting to see indeed. I really wonder what would have happened, but like I said I dont believe Barca will overcome PSG.

I like to think a compromise would have been reached. I mean, it's hard for them to consider them lifting the ban wholesale, because it is for people undergoing investigations into massive tax-fraud, but it does seem entirely egregious in this case. Perhaps a loophole should be considered for persons who are professional athletes, and whose finances are handled by someone else?

All the same, and sorry for getting political, but: F You Brexit. Not for the first time.

@Emre I wouldn't suprise me if they did.

@Raimondo90 Like you said, would have been interesting to see but it propably won't come to that. They kind of have to score 4 goal. Against PSG. PSG who are on fire right now. That could be kind of rough right now. :(

They played at Manchester, why not at Cardiff ? Or Maybe Manchester is not considered in GB...
Sorry to crash the party here...
Just for information : Alexis Sanchez, Samuel Etoo, Javier Mascerano and Xabi Alonso are also under investigation for tax evasion in Spain, and so is Lately Jose Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo And their mutual agent Jorge Godfather Mendes...

You only go to jail if you have more than 24month jail. Anything less than 24 month prevent you from being jailed. Spain, Italy and Mediterranean countries in general are known for having gangsters mentality :)
In the world in general, the richer you are, the less ethics you have. For a simple reason, rules are made for the poor, wake me up when a billioneer is in jail.

quikzyyy got a point I don't see PSG bottling this lead but, anything is possible when your front forward is Messi, Suarez and Neymar.

Cristiano's case is most likely fake. His agency has publicly released a paper which shows his declared assets in 2015, and all the taxes on them have been paid. Nice try @Tiki.

He is under investigation, we are not saying who is guilty and who is not, Im not a judge dynast, nor a fanboy.
Secondly once you have millions, you pay less taxes, each country has its own combinations to play with legality. Legal or illegal, some here think there is a sea between both, what could be legal in Spain is illegal in France and what could be legal in Fr nice is illegal In Qatar as an example. But what is in common in whole countries is that each country has its " legal " tricks to avoid taxes... we are not talking about the 3000 euros per year we are paying...
Add one line to a constitution and the illegal becomes legal, i don't have this judging acts mentality, facts is that Ronaldo's had transferred 150 mil in tax heaven just like any star of the world, could be legal or not is just theatrics for me I guess economics will explain it better than me...
Do I blame him for that ? Absolutely not, you dont became self millionaire by hard work to pay political debts caused by banksters for their own interests... if you want to do this with legal approach, you call a tax evasion specialist that will use any loophole possible to make you pay less... but its not the subject Here, would they be able to play at Cardiff, the answer is Yes, except if they met an English team who would try to act smart and play with constitution, then again Spanish would reply like any chess game to make it legal...
Messi was found guilty, but they gave him 21 month jail wich doesnt lead him to jail, and Barca got 6 millions fine for Neymar who got 2 years minus days to avoid jail, it could be funny it is for me, but the justice help the rich to avoid jail, and it's a common reality no country escapes from it.
