Improvements to match comments

Hi everyone!

You may have noticed that commenting system on match pages has been slightly improved.

  • Users/Guests filters
  • Infinite scrolling instead of paging system
  • Better and cleaner UI design
  • Unified commenter interface with the forums one

The filters should definitely help people who do not want to see comments from guests. The infinite scrolling will ease the reading of comments by allowing one to just keep clicking "Load More" for more comments.

Some more additions will come in the next few days to the commenting system.

Thank you for your support and we hope you like the new update.

P.S: If you notice something broken please reply here.

Sorry for making this a bit off topic, but when typing in another thread, the bottom right of where I type said 0 characters left. Is this also a new addition? Other than that, thanks for the update on the comment sections. It's much better now :)

Is it just me or is there a new font?

@FootyRoom

Just saying, there's a glitch where whenever you type an apostrophe, a slash comes after it. Look.

It's just a glitch, but I hope you can look into it.

Also if you try to post in the match highlights it says "0 characters remaining" and you're post don't go through.

Slashes should be fixed now. It's working!
Also, fixed the bug with "0 characters remaining". Refresh your page if you still get the bug.

For now we have limited 500 characters for match comments and 5000 characters for forum posts/comments. Are these good numbers?

Do we need reply feature in forums? Or is it better to keep the conversation flat and linear.

Reply with quote could be interesting.

Pffff Ramaboy, my posts aren't that long, lol. I think leave them at 500 & 5000 and see how they go, can always be changed at a later date.

Agree with UHB, reply with quote would be nice, saves us having to use @ each time. Also a timed edit button might be nice for those who don't like grammatical/spelling errors.

Is there anyway to hide the replies from guests in the match highlights section? At present it still shows them.

Adding a reply feature would be a great idea on forums! Keeps every conversation organized and understandable!

I too like the reply/quote idea, and.... bah Rama! *shakes fist*

In a way, though, the new video comments format negates the purpose of the existing reply function. Without the page numbers, finding replies is much more time-consuming.

@FootyRoom: Could you possibly add an extra 5,000 characters when posting in the forum? Like rama said, I do enjoy writing a lot in one post...

@FootyRoom

I think I personally need more than 5,000 characters for my "Player Comparison" series. I plan on doing another one pretty soon, and I need a LOT of characters for that. Does unlimited sound like a good idea? I mean, it's been working pretty well so far.
