Messi vs Dybala

Just wanted to show zonal and individual approach of marking Messi he has to deal with each game, why not to show it to people who do not atknowledge why Messi is the biggest marked player i have seen in 20 years of following Football...

if Messi was playing vs Barca in Dybala's role, Barça wouldnt cross midlefield line, would have 0 shot and Messi would have scored 4 at least.

First being in Sandro zone, Sandro do not attack him, wait for Khedira to cover Space at his right in case Messi takes speed, another cover Khedira's back and then Juve players can try to take the ball in security...Messi feels it, decide to change position and enter in Dybala's Zone, Dybala is then the one to face him, Higuain then cover right space and Khedira close space at the back....

There is no secret, if you want to stop the unstoppable, you need to do huge team effort, and in case you do not witness that in a game, its just because you watch games as a TV show instead of Football amator player.

Well Gonzi I don't seem to be happy of the situation eaither, but this season, we rely only about his creativity with the help of Neymar and Suarez who are less consistent during the season. Our Midlefield is very poor and so tactics who seem to be gone.

@Marcus lol as if he wasn't a team player, he tops assist charts in Argentina and chances created...

Only one objection. You said in 20 years??? you probably did not know that Ronaldo (the Brazilian) exist. He used to be marked in all competitions but most importantly with top quality defender (Maldini, Nesta, Stam, you name it) and other great players in that era.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm kind of enjoying that Messi and Ronaldo are no longer untouchable. Go back 5 years and literally no one was even close to them - and it put this godlike status on two players who are, in the end, human.

I don't think anyone would really argue that both these players have had better seasons, and I doubt either of them will match what they were doing in their respective primes. Messi, being two years younger, isn't going through the hard part of it yet, like Ronaldo is, but it's starting to happen. This notion that Messi is untouchable these days in simply people trying to convince themselves that he's as good as he was a few years ago. He's not, and even though he'd have my vote for Ballon D'or at this point, we can't pretend that it's not a conversation, at least.

[Messi has to say goodbye to the Champions League until next year. While Ronaldo scored a hattrick against Munich, Messi failed to register a goal against Buffon once again. After losing to Juventus in the first leg, courtesy of a brace Dybala, they were unable to register a single goal against the resilient Italians in both legs.

The defeat marks the last Champions League game managing Barcelona for Luis Enrique, who won the prestigious trophy during his first year with the club. After losing to Atletico Madrid last year, they failed to progress from the quarters once again in Champions League 2017.

And? Sherlock?

Yesterday MU won, which made the agreegated score 2 1, just enough to proceed. Had Anderlecht scored another goal? MU would had been out.

Yesterday in Amsterdam, Netherlands, it didnt rain, thus, 2 long draught days in a row, not quite rare in the history though.

Lol jk, cool story bro :D

A 100% Messi is better than a 100% Ronaldo, a 50% Ronaldo is better than a 50% Messi.

Messi cant adapt easily, he cant be 'Messi' Unless You let him do what he wants, Ronaldo can adapt to anything, even if you ask him to not even pass the ball or even if you dont pass him the ball, he will still manage to score, You send him to sunderland and he will manage to score 25+ goals a season at least. Messi can't just drop deep if there is no results, He can either drop deep and carry the ball all they to the 6 yeard box or stay up front and let Neymar drop deep and create chances for Messi, because Suarez has been absolutely useless. He doesnt even drag defenders away from Messi, and thats the least amount of work that a Striker should do if he cant score. Ronaldo has been doing that ever since he touched a football, drag defenders away from their natural position.

Dybala and Cuadrado will run from the sides and give Higuain tons of space in the center, Neymar aims to beat the defender more than to score.

Barcelona have a small problem, they want Neymar and Messi to drop deep and dribble defenders and have tons of possession. For the love of God chose one thing! You cant play counter and possession simultaneously? Plus with a natural striker like Suarez up front everything is chaotic. Build a midfield to either play counter or holding the ball. I see Iniesta up front more than Neymar sometimes, plus their midfield barely provides anything. Barca's midifeld and attack are like two exact opposite things. Give us Suarez and he will score a hattrick next game. We will give you Kovacic and Messi will score 5.

You guys need a midfielder that will attack through the center, Iniesta was doing that and with Alves going down the wing, Messi had so much space. Sergi goes down the wing and suddenly reverts to the center of the field, like why? and dont get me started with Jordi Alba, this guy can turn from Messi to Heskey in a second. If Messi cant be himself, than he cant perform unless he drops deep to shrug off the center backs, but just leaves Suarez with even less space and than Neymar ends up with more defenders to beat to create for Suarez.

Dybala is like the hottest girl in the club, but you know she sleeps with sleezy infected slim balls. You know this but can't look away. That's how I feel about him.

Replace girl with Dybala and scummy man with juve. ;)

somehow people find a way to make Ronaldo a better Footballer... based on what ? Stats ? Teammates ?
When Madrid were in crisis they took 0-4 at Bernabeu with the smile, and so Ronaldo. Now it's Barca turn to be managed that bad.
No player could deliver at such bad conditions, shaky defense and inexistant midlefield with dressing room issues, let alone a tap in specialist.

And even if you put him as the best tap in specialist ever wich is arguable, he cant be compared to the top 5 10's of the game...let alone to Messi imo, its not just the same skills or level difficulty.

Giroud this season would have scored more than Ronaldo, if he was playing at his position and shooting PKs, the chances created by Madrid are the highest in Europe, and his conversion rate is lower than top 10 strikers of the moment... so Im not accepting that kind of arguments after an extra time hattrick home vs 10 men with offside goal and tap in empty net...

At this level why not saying Cavani is the most gifted player atm ?

Ramos won more points for Madrid than Ronaldo, if you want meaningful stats...

Tiki, thats logic doesnt apply. Then, why cant Benz, Bale or any other score more than Ronaldo?????

Like it or not, the guy is a scoring machine, deadly and clinical. He can be total crap most of the game and you give him a couple of moment with enough speace and he score twice.

He's that good. Im not trying to compare him with Messi because I think Messi style attracts me a lot more. But saying Giroud can do just as good is totally ilogical

Replace girl with Dybala and scummy man with juve...

When I was younger I liked Internazionale with Recoba,Vieri,Ronaldo...that team had a game in Rome, against Lazio and the whole Olimpico was cheering for Inter, even Lazio fans wished Inter wins the title, anyone but not AS Rome and Juve...

But Héctor Cuper didn't know how to win the Scudetto, after 2:2 half time Diego Simeone and Inzaghi scored and everyone saw Juve winning their 27th title, at that point Inter was waiting for the title since 1989 and that year was 2002, everyone that wasn't Juve cried that day.

Juve in Italy is the coolest guy in that nightclub, the most guys outside of the club like him and others have their right to dislike him because they want to be that guy. That's how I see it.

@Wolfie Just to further explain my view, Conte is first in England (Juve), Zidane first in Spain(Juve), Deschamps almost won Euro 2016 and is first in group for world Cup 2018 (Juve) ---> All those guys played for Juve in the 90's under the great Marcello Lippi and now Juve people are rulling whole Europe. This is why I say Juve is the coolest guy in the club that gets all girls.

@tiki Whats with all the hate, I simply mean that Messi needs to attack more rather than dropping deep. When Messi drops deep, your midfield is totally reliant on him. I didn't even downgraded him whatsoever, in fact I kept praising him. I don't even know how you interpret my comment as a dig on Messi. I respect you man and I know you are a really educated guy, and guys like you wont go around saying about tap in goals and PKs. These goals weren't an issue before, why is it now?

All im saying is that your midfield needs to grow some balls and show presence on the field rather than relying on the forwards to drop deep, last match your midfield was good was the Classico. So im not gonna bet on a thrashing or an easy win on the classico, every classico is an even match, its where team form, points or whatever doesnt bother, both teams want to win just to piss of the other team.

He is not dropping deep for no reason, the ball doesn't come to him if he does not look deep for it...
Don't you think he would love to sit on the box waiting for an easy tap in ? Get a comfortable game as a last touch finisher ?
Getting glory for 2 or 3 touches per game ? So In your opinion he does that for what ?
