Updated 07 Sept, 2018: "My future is currently in Manchester, I still have a contract, I'm playing there at the moment, but who knows what will happen in the next few months,"
Updated 04 Sept, 2018: Pogba wants to leave this and that, now, Pogba wants to work for Zidan...

Man, Im sick of this drama

Not sure if this is true guys....

Barcelona have met with Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba to discuss a possible transfer, according to Tuttosport.

The World Cup winner is said to have met with technical secretary Eric Abidal in LA a few days ago.

Pogba has reportedly indicated that he wants to leave Old Trafford but United are in a position of strength as their player is under contract until 2021.

Abidal, meanwhile, was hired to allow the club to make more headway in the French transfer market.

I certainly don't want this to happen, Pogba is still our best asset... still a bit overrated due to his lack of concentration and swag bullcrap, but if he's put his head there on the field he is world class. :(

I hope Mou, or us won't make him leave.

But does he really want to leave??? WTH?

Few month ago, I wouldn't have put too much stock into that kind of rumours but with the way Mou is going right now, I seriously would do the same in Pogba stead. I mean, no matter what, he is still one of United best player and Mourinho seem to only complain about him at the moment or at least, he isn't showing much apreciation. Not really the best way to keep a player happy if you want my opinion.

Well to be fair, despite being our best asset, he hasn't really delivered in big game consistently either.

He definitely has NOT lived up to his status and expectation, with the transfer and the wages. His swaggy crap too.

But Mou's system definitely does not make the best out of him...

the fact that pogba plays better under france is a bitter thing mourinho had to accept. but come on, I want the epl to be crowded not one of the stars leaving.

Barcelona did sign Malcom and Arthur joined them as well, so my only question would be if Barcelona would have a bit overcrowded midfield...Do they even need Pogba?

Highly doubt this is going to happen. He's the main man of our squad. He was signed by Mourinho for the very reason of building a squad around of. Him leaving will be an asinine thing to do on us and his life.

It's no longer a question of needing for Barca, but rather a question of wanting. If Pogba moves to Camp Nou, there's no doubt that he will be in the starting line up week in, week out. He has no equals with his profile.

@Golazo Malcom play on the wing I believe however so I see him more as a backup for Messi and in a rotation role with Dembele. Arthur was brought in to replace Iniesta but Pogba would no doubt start over both him and Rakitic. Still think Barca should focus on someone who can play as DM though, to replace Busquet.

OH and by the way, Abidal talked to journalist and said it wasn't true at all. Don't know if he tell the truth though.

I dont think it's true what Abidal said.

Although I dont think Pogba suits Barca either.

@tuan_jinn To be fair, considering the fact Busquet is old and Iniesta left, I do believe he would suit them, add both creativity and solidity to the team and can help Roberto growing more into Busquet role by putting less pressure on him.

All smoke, no fire. If Pogba was going to move it would have been way earlier in the window as we'd need time to get a direct replacement for him.

"Swag bullcrap", could you detail further, @tuan_jinn ?
In France he has a very good reputation, but I really don't follow his news.

They just sold Paulinho back to China for €50m so financially makes sense. Money 💰 been thrown around like loose change.

Pogba doesn’t play necessary better in NT, he is better surrounded for sure and his inconsistency is covered by Kante and Co.
At United, if he does not deliver, the team doesn’t win which gets him more exposed to critics.
Mou wants more from a 115mil signing and 15 mil salary and I do agree with him, plus Pogba offered himself to Pep by his agent, Mou has his reasons...

Damn I defend him a lot lately while I’m not a big fan, this Mou Bashing/pressure is not justified. United has average transfermarkets for a reason I ignore ( at least comparing to reds and City)

For Barca, 15 mil is too high unless we sell Dembele which would surprise me. I do prefer Kante, I just feel Madrid will take it before us.

Ill take Rakitic+30m any day.

Im not a big fan of fancy players like Pogba who come onto the pitch with a new haircut and celebration every game. Who are more know because of the character they portray in social media rather than the level they play at.

Anyways, seems like this is not going to be the case. Probably the big majority of the players want to leave or want Mou to leave. This transfer window has been one of the worst I've ever seen. Lets just hope for the best, at least top 4 finish.

@expertfootball11: yep mate. @tuanis just explained exactly what i meant by that.

And indeed dueing France's campaign he was better and more focused on football. Beside, surrounded by excellent players like Kante, the whole defense Mbappe or Griezemann gave him more space and covered his errors.

In a season long, i hope he can stay as focus as that.

Pogba is a useful and dynamic midfielder to have if you have specialist talent around him (Marchisio, Vidal, Pirlo or Kante, Matuidi, Griezmann). But he cannot be your primary creative option, nor your best midfielder. He lacks the discipline and the patience to be an elite midfielder. All he is right now is a creative dribbler and an excellent shooter - his passing ability and defensive awareness is incredibly inconsistent.

United need better midfield talent to surround Pogba with to get the same kind of performances out of him that Juventus and France got. It would mean signing midfielders who are superior to Pogba so that Pogba's deficiencies are masked. Either that, or cash in on him right now as his stock is at an all-time high with his excellent WC final match vs. Croatia.
