Ovidiu Hategan had said:

"It was a sad and unpleasant moment for me, sad because I made that mistake" regarding the penalty decision that was the ultimate victory and qualification for Swtzerland while Northern Ireland were left out.

He will not be among the refs that will do their job in the World Cup as his name isn't in the list of the 36 refs that will be in the World Cup.

Introduce VAR in all official matches and this wont be happening any longer. And if a ref makes a mstake with the VAR he needs to be seriously suspended.

@raimondo Amen to that. I still can't understand how you can get some pretty obvious call wrong with VAR. I mean, some call even on replay aren't easy to judge but its so clear for certain of them that I can't believe how people can get them wrong a good vision of thing. :(
