Defender Yeray Alvarez was diagnosed with testicular cancer back in December and was out of the game until February, he withdrew from Spain’s U-21 Championship squad back in June because he required treatment.

The 22-year old played 26 league games last season for Bilbao and he was a given a round of applause from his Bilbao team-mates when he returned to the club, with a little surprise: all of his team-mates head is shaved to show support for him:

Quoted from BBC: "We want him to feel as comfortable as possible here and we did this not only for Yeray but for all families that suffer from this disease," said midfielder Oscar de Marcos.

Athletic Bilbao is one of the worlds most impressive football clubs, till this day they don't buy players outside of their region Basque and are among the top 25 clubs in Europe. This just shows how heart warming their community is.
