Really hard to narrow down to five.
Ibrahimovic, Cavani, and Falcao are doing great, but play in a league that isn't as competitive as others.
Aside from these three, my top four would have

For me they are the 5 best at the moment, but Cristiano, Suarez, Cavani, RVP and Messi are just behind and they can be in the top 5 list in the next weeks.

In no particular order:
Robert Lewandowski - Probably the future Ballon D'Or winner in a few years, if he keeps this up
Zlatan Ibrahimovich - Club and Country, always a legend. Nothing else to say.
Luis Suarez - A fcking prick, but his skill is insane. Better than RVP IMO
Sergio Aguero - Speed, dribbling, finishing... this guy is amazing.
Radamel Falcao - In a less competitive league, but his 0.75 average goals scored says enough.

We all are aware that Diego Costa is doing well right now. But quite frankly, this is his real breakthrough season. No one knows if Costa can replicate this form for the remainder of the season. Players like Lewa, Ibra, Falcao, RVP and etc. all have been scoring 20+ goals a season for the last 3 seasons. That's why most people would tend to choose the more consistent players rather than ones that have just made their breakthrough.
It's not about "watching other leagues". It's about logic and reason, more than anything. :P

@Lodatz How the hell did you understand that the goal ration is the only way to determinate the best strikers ?? Your Defoe is nowhere in the list, and he is in a good form APPARENTLY but its not his usual ratio in a season.
Last year was the first year that Bale were regularly scoring, and everybody was saying he was a beast, why not with actual shining players ? I determinate the best strikers with stats, what is your point ?

Why else would you have made a post showing it for all those other strikers? What's the point, if not to compare them based upon it? If you're going to highlight a player's stats, then it's fair game, mate, to show how another player slots right into that. If you are only going to go by the sheer number of goals scored, then why even show those stats at all?

The fact that you left him out doesn't mean he shouldn't be in your list, given the criteria you're using to put that list together.

Welllll, that doesn't mater, according to you, who reckons Diego Costa should be up there, depsite having ONLY have a run of good form at the MOMENT, not his usual ratio in other seasons. And look, even your list says: "AT THE MOMENT", not: 'over past seasons'.
You can't have it both ways, mate. EIther we're talking about At The Moment, in which case Defoe has scored over a goal a game, and is therefore one of the best strikers in Europe, OR, we're talking about Over Past Seasons, in which case a lot of your list can be dismissed, like Costa and Ibesevic, for instance.

See above. Defoe has a better goal-scoring ratio than Diego Costa, That's called shining.

That your method is not a very good one, if by using your method we can determine that Jermaine Defoe is the second-best striker in Europe, when he's obviously not.
Nor is Diego Costa.
That's why no-one had him in their lists. It's got nothing to do with 'not knowing about other leagues', mate. It's about common sense. Just because he's your favorite striker at the moment doesn't mean anything.
