Absolutely not. Its the player decision when he wants to retire not the federations. If I was Ribery, and they do ban me for this, I would get a dual citizenship with Gibraltar, and ask to play with them. Arrange with the coach, that they're cool with me retiring. Done. Lick a lolipop Platini XD.

fifa have good rules like ban suarez for 4 months, but uefa are dippy...
...legia warszawa got kicked out of cl because they accidentally brought on a suspended player. platini threatening to ban ribery for not playing for france(just because platini wants france to do well. and punishing albania when only serbia were to blame and also the denmark fans wont get to go to the serbia match because of uefas silly rules.
