What difference does it make if their ancestry is Arab or African? France is as multicultural as the United States. Their diversity is the result of colonialism. Should Griezman play for Germany because of his ancestry? Should Valbuena play for Spain instead? Or is it OK because they're white? Nationalism is a fraud. There is no such thing as a homogenous "country," and there never was at any point in history. Not even in Europe. Pick up a book.

our problem and i hope the manager sees what i see is to stop the players from showboating and play more direct. so many times ronaldo was in space and never got the ball. we have the playes to cut through defences but yet we chose to walk the ball into the net. i hate this! stop being selfish and pass the ball first time. play simple and save the tricks for after. all in all i love the new players. portugal is coming back! Pepe was a rock...MOTM!

people shouldn't comment unless they watched the whole game. first of all, this was a friendly game. secondly, we were experimenting with the team and last but not least new manager. now you put all these ingredients together coming off a bad run and playing away it's not a big surprise. however, alot of positives from this game. welcome back ricardo carvalho and quaresma. best news. despite the result we actually outplayed france for 65 mins in their own park and even the french supporters were booing their own team at times.

I'm not saying they aren't french, of course they are, i was just wondering why france doesn't play in the african tournament. Spain and Germany borders with France dude, are you saying an african is like an european? this doesn't look to me like a multicultural team, they're all black africans, but I guess if the french are ok with it, let it be. For sure I would not want arab muslims or african to represent my country, can't I express my opinion?
