I was literally falling a sleep watching this "match" ... OMFG .... no wonder England want to host the world cup, cuz they probably won't qualify for the next one .... such a poor performance from England, friendly or not ...

The problem is mate that not only England have young talent coming through their ranks and by 2018, Spain for example could play that tournament with a midfield of Thiago, Isco, Koke and Busquets, with the likes of Saul, Oliver Torres or Denis Suarez on the bench. Germany would have the likes of Kroos, Muller, Reus, Gotze, Ozil, Draxler, Gundogan, Schurrle or Kramer in the prime of their careers.... Italy will have Verratti, Insigne, El Shaarawy, Inmobile.... Brazil; Neymar, Coutinho, Bernard, Willian, Casemiro, Lucas Moura, Danilo, Marquinhos. Argentina; Banega, Pastore, Lamela, Vietto, Dybala, Iturbe, Correa.... France; Lacazette, Griezmann, Pogba, Varane, Zouma, Kondogbia.... and these are just the youngsters. Do you still believe England can win it?

England midfield from Lampard, Gerarrd and Hargreaves to Henderson, Milner and Wilshere the 2nd hand smoker, No wonder they couldnt even get pass group stage in WC England is so hopeless nowadays

Peter M 9 years ago
Wilshere "the smoker" is arguably the best one of them in the midfield my friend. For the past year before his march injury, he was consistently the best performer for England in all the qualifying games for England. Without him on the pitch I guarantee you England would have definitely done worse. The problem with England is each one of them focus more on trying to keep their place in the team rather than the collective team effort needed to win a game. Even if they manage to do that for a game the media continuously credits the best performer leaving the rest of the team. In my opinion the reason the English team isn't doing good its 1) lack of chemistry between the players 2) No heart in the game 3) Excessive coverage by the media.

Trap - That is precisely the real problem with English football, that most fans like you think that English players are better than what they actually are and you discredit players from other leagues/countries that have won much more than them. So you honestly think that the current English crop of players are better than World Champions Kroos, Muller, Gotze, Ozil, Schurrle, Draxler... or Reus and Gundogan that didn't make it to the WC? Better than the Spain Under 21 midfield that are the current Euro Under 21 Champions and that between them so far at their age have won a total of; 12 leagues, 5 CLs, 12 other continental trophies and an array of local cups, and 7 international trophies including a WC and a European Championship? Care to list what the English players have won so far...

6:33 time for this totally boring game...why? (many very good games got much less). england's after 1966 a 3-class-team: NEVER euro'champ (spain 3x, germany 3x, even greece 1x, danmark 1x), never again in worldcup-final (germany 8x!, won 4x, semifinal 12x!!!)... hey, this team is constantly overrated and embarrassing - simply no match-quality

when you play profesional football in a club like Arsenal , smoking before and after match or overtime is more than a sin. Wilshere is just a fag for me .............on of the worst EPL character.....smoking fag wich talk shi* about rivals without any reasons
0
jonny 9 years ago
First of all before he got injured for a number of games in a row, wilshere was England's best player and man of the match on multiple occasions. The smoking stuff has been dealt with, it's in the past. And the whole rival stuff is just banter. Big deal.

With a new qualification system it's hard not to go through even for a teams like Israel , Nothern ireland and so on . So Englanders could qualify with such a boring performance .
