Manchester City are gonna suffer are the Santiago Bernabeu. It'll be hell for Manchester City and for sure Ronaldo will return. Also hopefully Varane should get a chance to play

If Cristiano Ronaldo returns for the second leg and partners Gareth Bale in attack, Man City will be in for a real drubbing.

Maybe Real Madrid should buy two more teams and put their fans out of their misery. Along with Bayern you have the most extensive squad. Who more do you want, man?

How is a Barcelona fan talking about expensive squad when you have Suarez, Neymar, rakitic, Alba, ter stegen, bravo, turan bought for millions of euros on top of that players like ibrahimovic, etoo, Henry, Alex song and much more?

@Cizbiz I agree with you.. They have to buy two more teams and take all players of the world.. This supporters want everything and everyone... and don't even compare your squad price with Barcelona..
CR7, Bale, James, Modric, Kroos, etc.. worth HALF A BILLION.. and you are not satisfied..
Please give us a break!

Manur fan just shut up have you forgotten manure spent half a billion on berbatov, Ferdinand, Rooney, Anderson, van persie, Nani, martial, Herrera, schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger , Memphis depay, dsrmain, de gea, rojo, park, di Maria ???? Stupid hypocrite

@Gala Madrid.. you are talking about players who are not at the club.. they are gone a long time ago.
We are talking about the recently starting 11.
Real Madrid have the most expensive one.. HALF A BILLION starting eleven.

Barça had to sell Pedro and prior to him Fabregas to keep the balance Syd the Sqwid. How Real manages to account for the money they spend is shady biz. While media focuses on Messi's imbalances, Real has been spending without much return. How many cups have they won in the recent years? The biggest addition of money comes from Commercial Cronaldo, man. Barça's budget is closer to Atletico, get a grip!

For those who are saying that That was a good result for RM.. I don't think so... Not score an away goal is not good. CR7 is injured, for his own good is better not play in the second leg. BUT I KNOW THAT RM WILL PUT HIM to PLAY NO MATTER HOW.
RM has great players and they can win at home without CR7.. there is no need to risk his health.
I want to remind people not to compare Man CITY with Roma or Wolfsburg.. Real Will have to go up and the game will be open.. and this is good for players like KDB, Aguero, etc..
The 2nd leg will a great game.. they have nothing to lose.. Will be a open game.

Do you realise how hard it is for a team to qualify for a CL final after not having scored at home? I remember Porto (2004), Barça (2009) and Atletico (2014) doing that and ManCity is noooowhere near those teams of those years.

UCL semi final curse

85% of teams who get to play their home game first will advance to the final
because in the second leg both teams are more likely to play an open and attacking game, so playing away in the second leg gives you more chance to score away goals

Geez,,,De Bruyne passes were piss poor. Hard to believe them. It's not like watching typical De Bruyne's passed at all.

it's easy to make fancy passes vs sunderland/stoke etc, this is the real world m8.

@jupp actually he missed some easy passings. but yeah, it could be his mentality which is not ready for a bigger stage.

It's probably going to be a Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich final, but I think a Man City vs Atletico Madrid final would be more exciting

No offence to Atletico and their tactics, but a final consisting of a team parking the bus for 90min+ straight is not that exciting in a final...
0
Edmund Khoo 8 years ago
Atletico Madrid have to cut their coat according to the amount of cloth they have. They don't possess the budget of the big clubs to recruit the best attacking talent in the world, or to maintain 2 teams full of internationals.

jupp 8 years ago
atletico park the bus? lol you smokin wot m8. just because they have very strong defense doesnt mean they park the bus you nitwit. it's so fukin hard to play atletico because their players will always gang up on you, at least two players will make a run to dispossess opponents,.and they do this through out the game, but in turn they have to cover over 50% more grounds than their opponents, and here you are saying "park the bus". fukin monotonous uncreative dumbfuck. id rather watch atletico's knock and run style than barca's 'beautiful' football where everybody wants to look fancy and no one is willing to run the extra mile before turning to the ref when shit hits fan.

Money certainly buys success. 3 of the Champions League semi-finalists are among the Top 5 richest clubs in the world:

1. Real Madrid ($3.26 billion)
2. Barcelona ($3.16 billion)
3. Manchester United ($3.10 billion)
4. Bayern Munich ($2.35 billion)
5. Manchester City ($1.39 billion)

The biggest reason why I am slowly loosing interest in this sport, what am I watching 0.01% showing off the power of money by buying teams even though most never played or even cared for this beautiful game. Also includes the next 5 teams you mentioned in the other post, all either owned by notorious dirty corporations and owners who stole funds from regular people to make their own dreams of showoff come true. This clip sums up my thoughts but slowly going to implement it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Md2vBiNm7W0

It is common knowledge that the money is pumped into these clubs by their wealthy owners .......... not by selling prawn sandwiches, hotdogs or Coke
