Switzerland

• Switzerland came through Group A as runners up to France. They remained unbeaten in their quartet with two draws and one win during which time they scored just two goals and conceded one.
• Switzerland have won only one of their 10 games against Poland, it was in a friendly 40 years ago (2-1 in May 1976). Meanwhile, the Poles have won four and drawn five.
• All three games played in St Etienne at EURO 2016 have ended in a draw.
• Switzerland are unbeaten in their last four EURO games (2 wins followed by 2 draws), after having lost six of their previous eight matches in the competition.
• In 12 EURO games, Switzerland have scored more than one goal on only one occasion (2-0 v Portugal, 15 June 2008).
• Switzerland have conceded only one goal so far at EURO 2016, it was from the penalty spot against Romania.

Poland

• Poland also finished as runners up in their group but only due to a goal difference just one inferior to Germany. They won two of their matches and draw the other and whilst they also managed only two goals.
• Poland have never scored more than one goal at the EURO (9 games). However, they haven’t conceded a single goal in this year’s group stages, the only team to do so alongside Germany.
• Poland have only failed to score once in 10 encounters with Switzerland, in a goalless draw back in May 1972.
• Robert Lewandowski scored in the 17th minute of his first game at the EURO (v Greece in 2012). Since then, he’s failed to find the net or deliver an assist in the competition in 523 minutes.
• Jakub Blaszczykowski has been directly involved in four of Poland’s five goals in EURO history (2 goals, 2 assists).
