Let it be known that Iran and Iraq are peaceful and sibling civilizations. They have grown together from the times of the first civilizations and share a history, until recent times (fuck saddam shitstain). Once the bullshit ISIS losers are removed, Kurdistan and the rest of Iraq can flourish again and we Iranians love you (ignore the psycho/low IQ racist comments on both sides). Interestingly, Iraq's team's play is much more like Iran's than any other team. Iran and Iraq are different from all West Asian teams that's for sure. Iran is now in Central Asian Federation, but still interesting maybe it will continue to be this way.

I've done work in Iraq, and the reality is that they're a football mad people. If there were peace there and more resources put into the infrastructure, they'll be competing in the latter stages of the asian cup every tournament, and reach world cup competitions. it is just a shame that every time they've taken a step forward, the development gets halted by extremists and idiots. well done iraq. well done.

What a game, amazing! I hope Peace will come over both countries. Football is greater than 1000 words and the happiness to play together a fair match without war and politics involved must be a great aim for humanity.

Absolutely spot on and well said - we do need more of you in the world brother! As an Iraqi, I feel similar to no other nation than Iran, there is much more in common between our nations and it is about time we give up the hate and focus on what brings us together. Politics and politicians have and will never be our greatest representatives, therefore, for the guys above me, please give up worshiping dead politicians and stop following blindly - as Iskandar says, we will stand up and flourish, Iranians and Iraqis will both come out victors, for he who has a glorious past, has a glorious future to look forward to! - PEACE TO YOU ALL AND WELL PLAYED BOTH TEAMS.

Just imagine if the this Iraqi national team had a proper country what they would do. Honestly, for a coach that comes for only two weeks of preparation and reaches the semi finals. Not a single Iraqi supporter should be asking for more when we're talking logically. I myself am from Mesopotamia; however, Iran deserved to win cause simply they were way better than us even with 10 players. But we just had that extra spirit to win. Great game by Iran and amazing spirit from the Lions.

Terrific game , great play IRAN team melli mashalla. Again Iran at 40 minute did not deserve that red card at first, the referee (William .B Australian) will face the consequences by the Iranian Coach Carlos Querioz following that files and complaints will be amended towards him. Overall super dramatic game. Goodluck to the rest of the teams in the semi-finals and finals.TEAM MELLI ZENDEH BASH!

I loved that red card. Biggest flop ever, trying to draw a card on the Iraqi player and got a red drawn on himself. No place for that nonsense in the game, the keeper barely touched him.
