Germany and Chile have met only one time in the last 30 years. That match saw Germany win 1-0 in a friendly in 2014. The other matches were played in 1982 and before, with Germany losing just twice in those six matches.
Germany got three points from a 2-3 win over Australia in the group opener. They were absolutely dominant in stretches, but they were made to work hard for the win in the end.

Chile will take advantage of some of the weaknesses of this young German side, and they will win the match and likely the group as well.
