No one hated him, he simply couldn't perform well despite being given som many chances. LvG played a part in his BPL-career failure, but he still didn't work enough to produce what was expected from him when he arrived.

I think a lot of people want to see Depay do well because he clearly has the talent. Perhaps he just didn't suit the LVG style and Mourinho is known for being a ruthless manager who will cut you out of the team for mistakes made. I think Depay will do well in Ligue 1 and gain his confidence back like Draxler is doing with PSG.

We don't hate Depay, but he wasn't a good player to United. Some players just can't preform well in big teams but do well in smaller teams. Also, these two goals he scored were easy and even normal players can score. I respect Depay, but he's not a quality player.

I think it's perfectly reasonable to say that after the time he spent at United. I do think however that he does have the potential and the ability to become a fantastic player at a top European side. He's still incredibly young and has great physical and natural attributes to his game but I just think he didn't suit United. Draxler was in a similar position at Wolfsburg where his career was slowly going downhill and now at PSG he's regaining form and confidence. I hope Depay can gain some more game time in Ligue 1 and maybe one day we'll see him in perhaps the PL once again.
