That's actually precisely what shows you that the PL is tougher, and harder to win. What you're not saying is how far ahead of the chasing pack those 96-point seasons were.
Last season the difference between 1st and 4th in the PL was 15 points (avg. 14 over the last 6 seasons).
The same for La Liga was 27 last year, and and avg. of 29 over the last 6 season. And that's being generous, because up until 3 years ago, the gap between 1st and 3rd was huge, and is still at an avg. of 18 even including Atletico's two great seasons.
Anyone who knows anything about football knows the rest of La Liga is far behind.
What you mean is: as soon as Barca or Real go 2-0 up, the other teams give up and let them cruise to a 5-0 victory. In England they never take their foot off the pedal and instead fight for every single point.
