Match facts

Swansea City

  • Swansea's 3-1 victory in May 2016 ended a run of eight games in all competitions without a win against Liverpool (D2 L6).
  • Swansea City is on a downward spiral as of late as they dropped to the 17th spot of the current English top flight table.
  • Their most recent match was a 1-3 thrashing in the hands of league leaders Manchester City also at their own home field of Liberty Stadium last Saturday.
  • Fernando Llorente is the 61st Spaniard to score in the Premier League and is currently one of 17 to have a single goal, alongside the likes of Fran Merida, Xisco and Kepa.

Liverpool

  • Liverpool have won only one of their five visits to Liberty Stadium in the Premier League (D2 L2) - 1-0 in March 2015.
  • The Reds have found the back of the net in each of their last seven Premier League clashes with Swansea, netting 18 goals; although only four have arrived away from home.
  • No team has scored more away goals in the Premier League in 2016 than Liverpool (26, level with Tottenham).
  • Daniel Sturridge has been directly involved in six goals in his six PL appearances against Swansea for Liverpool (four goals, two assists).

Predictions

Swansea faced a tall order on Saturday when Manchester City visited South Wales and will have their hands full once again when Liverpool make the trip South on Saturday.

The Swans are rumoured to be seeking new Management with Ryan Giggs among the favourites for the role.

The Reds have bagged eleven goals in their last three Premier League outings and many are predicting a memorable season for Jurgen Klopp’s side. Away win is expected at The Liberty Stadium.

Sakho had already his chances to play And made many errors that cost Liverpool not to compete while he was on the pitch, I bet Liverpool will lose if that happen. Klavan all the way my friend

disagree with both of you haha. krusze, if lovren and matip are both fit then they are the automatic centre back pair. if one of them is injured, then rightly so, sakho should come in. but, i think sakho is not uo to the fitness klopp wants (he didnt play for almost 6 months). however, he did play with the u23's. he will be rusty, so needs to weave his way into the squad by impressing klopp. additionally, klavan has been very good so far, so atm, i think klopp prefers klavan over sakho (if we was fit). karrish, could not disagree with you more. sakho and lovren formed a very good partnership, and sakho seemed to be overflowing with confidence under klopp as oppose to rodgers. they were solid most of the time, though, admittedly they were not a perfect partnership.

if it werent for that burnley game id be so confident we could win this game. however, the hull result says to me that were finally overcoming the recurring problem of not being able to be the (so called) lesser teams of the league. additionally, swansea seem to be in dire form, though it is the pl after all; anything can happen, but i expect (hope) us to win comfortably. 4-0
