Zidane benches CR7 more than previous managers. Not taking anything from Ronaldo, he is still amazing, but it seems to be doing good for the team to have more options to rely on. He also rotates the team wisely. When Bale, Ronaldo or Benzema are missing, there is Isco, Morata, Asensio, Vasquez, James... The team has incredible depth. Barca need to step up their game to defend their title.

DrButterface what the hell are you doing, I'm a CR7 fan too, admitting that he is getting old, LIKE A HUMAN BEING DOES, takes nothing away from him as a player. The fact is that he has been playing at a fitness level unparalleled by any other player in the world for a few years now, letting him sit out a few games now and then is a great way to make sure he continues to perform at his best when it truly matters, while making sure Real can transition to a team that doesn't rely solely on him

I am pretty much afraid that Real Madrid under Zidane's guidance will be the best team in the world and will win everything possible every season....

too early for celebration, the 2nd half of the season has just started. Remember last time our team had 22nd winning streak on the first half of the season? Yeah, it didn't end so well

@drbutterface, Hey before you call someone out on their "BS" you should make sure you're not talking out of your ass. Ronaldo didn't play against Sevilla, which was Real Madrid's most recent game. Did you forget or do you have that short of a memory?

So after not playing 1 game he's being "benched more"? Because that's what you're saying.

He's been benched before and the media started to speculate about problems like they always do. Zidane said that even great players need to be "benched", and Ronaldo wasn't 20 or so years old anymore and for him to be fit all season he needs to be rested/benched sometimes. Ronaldo would play every game if he could, but Zidane is being wise.

I've been saying that in order to succeed zidane needed to play more younger and explosive players and look now :D @_pelle_ clearly just wants to suck ronaldo's balls lol no one is saying your love of your life (ronaldo) sucks he's just saying that it's better to have a great team that he can rotate around, this applies to every football team.... did you just started watching foot?

Ici c' est fini frérot en LDC ;) No seriously they aren't hungrier, they have more depth and more balance.
Barca were obliged to play off form Busquets in many games because we have no other choice and many positions are irreplaceable while Madrid has at least 2 good players in every position. Now can you give us Verrati please :D Emery prefers Krycho.
