first of all it's a shame that best teams/players are not playing in olympics, they should
and secondly teams don't have any other choice than sending u23, that's a rule, there can be only 3 players older than 23 so before making comments get your facts straight

i think it was very close match and germans lost because they wasted a lot of chances

what is the point of u23 only in football? why in other events such as basketball they can stack a team full of NBA playing players while the other side has who ever they have.. should make all events such as football, basketball etc. either u23 or let them bring whom they wish.

When you get sent the wrong way on four of five penalty shots, it's because the shooters are better at deceiving you than you are at judging which way they'll shoot. The German keeper would have been better served by simply making up his mind which way he'd dive before anyone stepped up to kick. Just pick randomly and disguise your choice as long as possible. Instead, he tried to read the players and gave up four easy PK's.

This isn't "revenge" in any way. Not with U23 teams. Brazil will always be Germany's b*tch for that performance in the World Cup 2014.

Stop it! An Olympic medal is huge honnor!!! And no one said this was brazil's first team... Anybody would have celebrated the same. For most of these young players, this was the game of their lives so far.Congratulations U23 Brazil!

Wow! What happened to glorious Brazil football that winning the Olympic is the ultimate goal for them?
Seriously! Not many people care about Olympic football, teams only send in their u23 for a reason.
Brazil needs to go back to their top football days and try to win something that actually worth being happy about.

@legendz, watch your language you prick, who the F are you to tell someone to shut up! It’s my opinion and I am allowed to share it.
There is nothing to be butthurt about! Once again people, get you facts straight. All I am saying is that for a team like Brazil (one of the best football nations in the world) settling for an Olympic gold is a very low standard.
The reason being, Olympic is not as valuable in football world as world cup, Euro, etc…. It has never been. I can bet none of you even know who won the football gold last Olympics without going and googling it right now! I am just trying to say that football world expects much more from Brazil.
And all of you kids here need to learn to accept others opinions without getting judgmental and start name calling.

I am not German and I don't care about an u23 team's loss. I just expect more from Brazil. All I am saying is that a team like Brazil should aim for a real trophy! We all love to see the beautiful football Brazil used to play. Seeing how hard Brazil tried to win this Olympic makes me sad because Brazil's football is much bigger than an Olympic medal team.
Once again no one cares about olympic football. It's not even recognized by FIFA as an actual national team game! Get my point kid??

@thekink633 Politely, I dont expect you to understand the passion for football in Brazil. Just Like you Wouldn't understand an English club and their fans Celebrating not being relagated like they won. Football is spontaneous emotions. You dont plan how you react to a Win or a Loss.

There is no trophy! Just an Olympic medal which is not that valuable compare to other football events. That's why countries only send in their u23

countries only send their u23 because the rule (u23 + 3 players aged above 23 yo), not because it is not that valuable.

Finally! We gave Germany a chance by sitting back and conceding that goal when we should've maintained the same type of football from all the previous games (where we unintentionally used our countless attacks as a defensive strategy). After the Germany goal we did just that and they werent able to create a clear cut chance again. We let Germany off by not taking the many chances after their goal. Those who voted "lucky" for Brasil must've not watched the whole game.
