Match facts

Monaco

  • One of Monaco's three previous UEFA Champions League semi-finals ended in defeat against Juventus, although the Ligue 1 side did win the home second leg.
  • Monaco are aiming to reach the final for the second time, having got that far in 2003/04, following their last semi-final appearance.
  • Monaco are in their fourth European Cup semi-final, and their first since 2004, when they beat Chelsea FC 5-3 on aggregate (3-1 h, 2-2 a).
  • Jardim's team have won six of their seven home matches in this 2016/17 UEFA Champions League, the exception a 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen in the group stage. They have managed 16 goals in those seven fixtures.
  • Monaco are on a 13-match winning streak at the Stade Louis II.

Juventus

  • This is only Juve's second UEFA Champions League semi-final appearance since 2003, although it is their second in three years – in 2014/15 they beat Real Madrid 3-2 on aggregate.
  • Juve's away record in European Cup semi-finals is W1 D4 L6 – the sole victory came at Ajax in 1996/97 (2-1).
  • Allegri's team have already won in France this term, beating Olympique Lyonnais 1-0 on matchday three thanks to a Juan Cuadrado goal. The game in Turin finished 1-1.
  • Juve are unbeaten in six meetings with French sides, home and away, since a 2-0 loss at Bordeaux in the 2009/10 group stage. Their record since is W4 L2.
  • Friday's 2-2 draw at Atalanta ended the Bianconeri's run of five successive clean sheets in all competitions.

Predictions

Monaco have managed only two clean sheets in 13 Champions League outings and those games have been loaded with goals, with each of the last seven producing at least three of them.

Juventus will certainly see plenty of opportunities to hit the back of net on Wednesday night and we expect them to take some of them. The goals could flow at the Stade Louis II.

Final Score – 2 : 3

The only thing which could hurt Juventus now is over confidence and arrogance..its certainly different with the game vs Barca, they are very motivated to win those matches, as for these matches, I really really hope that none of their players have even a little underestimation for monaco which would definitely fire back. For monaco, doesnt mean that Barca's ( most probably the best attack out there) fate is theirs. If you look closely they have a lot of dimensions on their attacks this season while Barca's pattern is a little obvious to say the least.

I agree with you. That's why I think Monaco is harder opponent for us than Barca, while still think we are on the better side.

Aslong the focus is 110% in the back. I don't think Monaco will even get a shot on target. But best defense is attacking. imo Juve needs just to keep the possesion find the opening score the created chances. Hope we won't have to concede error goals. like we did vs Atalanta.

Statistics... They scored more goals than any other team in Europe. Besides, 12 goals against City and Dortmund. That's stunning.

Juve is the best defence however monaco is nowhere near the best attack in Europe although that doesn't mean that it is bad
