Lost Salah
Lost Ruediger
Lost Spalletti

Reinvested in a shrewd and controlled manner and hired a brilliant coach...
Fast forward 4 and a bit months, they finish above Chelsea and Ath. Madrid.

Partially because Serie A hasn't earned enough UEFA coefficient points to take the league into world's top flight like La Liga, PL and Bundesliga. So we've become supportive of each others when it comes down to European competitions. Not to mention we haven't won any trophies in both UCL and UEL in a while.

I don't understand why this Roma manager doesn't give Stephan El Shaarawy a chance to stay he always subs him WTF he's a very good asset to the team

been asking myself the same thing when he was at AC Milan, AS Monaco, and now AS Roma

Maybe that is enough proof that he's mediocre? El Sha was never good enough for Milan. One dimensional is the best way I can describe him. Monaco knew what they were doing and the same applies to Roma. If he was as good as you think he is, he would be a starter. He isn't.

.....oh geez, sure he offers only pace and a step over, but so do most players. Never said he was world class, but would be nice if he played 90 minutes once and awhile. thats ALL that was implied. Move on.

You guys clearly didn't see the last match in the world cup qualifiers against Sweden when he was there trying to make a chance he was all over the place and he always does that when he's under pressure but he's not given a chance to play more minutes which is so sad

Im all about the national team. A lot of factors in that game, considering the formation, he was subbed on around the hour mark. He should play more, and more minutes per game, I agree with you 100% on that. However, I don't think he's world class. More of a middle ground between the two.

I think he has got more playing time than expected this season. But the reality is that he is not on the level of Perotti. Perotti is more flexible positionally, has a better first touch, is able to go on the outside and also come in centrally, links up better, holds up the ball better and provides a better ball. Just an all round more accomplished footballer. Evidently, playing El Sha on the right is not ever going to have him perform at his best. El Sha is a luxury player. If the team is playing well, he can look good.
