Match facts

Bayern Munich

  • In 24 previous head-to-head meetings, Bayern have won 12, Real 10, with the teams drawing twice.
  • The German champions have won four of their last six semi-finals against their Spanish counterparts.
  • Heynckes has reached the final in all three of his Champions League campaigns, winning the competition twice: with Real in 1998 and Bayern in 2013.
  • James won the Champions League with Real in each of the past two seasons. Victory with Bayern would make him just the fifth player to win the competition with two different clubs in consecutive years, after Marcel Desailly, Paulo Sousa, Gerard Pique and Samuel Eto'o.
  • Thomas Müller is three games away from his 100th Champions League appearance with Bayern. Only Philipp Lahm (105) and Oliver Kahn (103) have passed their century to date.

Real Madrid

  • The teams met in last season's quarter-finals and it was Madrid, en route to becoming the first team to retain the trophy in the UEFA Champions League era and claiming a 12th European title overall, who came out on top. Zinédine Zidane's side won 2-1 in Munich and then 4-2 in Madrid after extra time to progress to the last four.
  • This is Madrid's record eighth successive UEFA Champions League semi-final, while Bayern are in the last four for the sixth time in seven seasons.
  • Madrid have won their last five matches against Bayern, scoring 13 goals and conceding four.
  • Cristiano Ronaldo has seven goals in his last three appearances against Bayern – and nine in six matches overall.
  • Ronaldo is the top scorer in the season's competition with 15 goals, 10 more than Lewandowski.

Predictions

Real Madrid may have Ronaldo, but Bayern Munich have form on their side. Zinedine Zidane’s men were shocking against Juventus last time out, and they’re facing a Bayern side who haven’t lost a home game in any competition since April last year.

They have won 19 of their 22 games at the Allianz Stadium this season, so we’re backing them to get the first leg win on Wednesday.

Given it’s Real Madrid they’re up against, who have scored in 13 of their last 14 trips away, we’re also going for a Bayern Munich Win and Both Teams to Score alongside a 2-1 correct score predictions.

Final Score – 2 : 1

Most of experts put on Rm based on last year but i dont agree. If we look back 1 year same SF hummels and Boateng also Lewy were inured or just back from injury.now they are fit i think Bayern have best shot from last 4 to defeat Real. anyway i look forward to this 2 legs

as long as not much away goal is conceded, bayern has a better chance to dethrone the european champion.

I'm just being realistic mate. Real have refs in their pocket. Of course Bayern can win i'm not doubting my team, but at the same time, if Real is about to lose, they can for sure count on the refs saving them, like it has been for couple of years now in the CL. 2016 Atletico, 2017 Bayern, 2018 Juve, and will probaly happend again against us. so I'm just preparing myself for the possible scenario that's all..

If they win fairly then I'll give them credit.

Did you count all the favor towards Real too during last year match against your team? The penalty that wasn't supposed to be there, how vidal should've gotten red card on the first leg. But yeah let's just focus on the mistake that occurs on your team. And Juve? You don't just push and knock people over using your leg inside the penalty area. Is Vasquez exaggerating the push and the tackle? Yep, most likely. Is it a foul? Yes, it was a clear foul, there was contact and you must be desperate enough to challenge someone from behind like that.
may the best win!

I’m a Barca fan and I want Bayern to beat Real Madrid’s Ass. But that penalty against Benatia was fair. Benatia shouldn’t have let Vasquez alone in the middle and Buffon should have been more aware of the ball, a few goalkeepers would have reacted faster to kick the ball away before it reached Vasquez in the first place. Just my opinion on the matter
