Match facts

Real Madrid

  • Thirteen-time winners Madrid are the reigning champions and chasing a third title in a row - a feat that has never been achieved in the Champions League era.
  • The teams last crossed paths in the 2014/15 group stage, Madrid winning both games with Karim Benzema scoring twice and Ronaldo once in the first, a 3-0 away win.
  • Madrid's triumph in Cardiff in 2017 was the tenth UEFA Champions League win for a Spanish side – twice as many as the next highest-ranked nation, Italy.
  • This is Madrid's 31st UEFA final. In addition to their 15 European Cup appearances, they were UEFA Cup winners in 1985 and 1986 and European Cup Winners' Cup runners-up in 1971 and 1983. They lifted the UEFA Super Cup in 2002, 2014, 2016 and 2017 having lost in 1998 and 2000, and won the European/South American Cup in 1960, 1998and 2002, losing in 1966 and 2000.

Liverpool

  • Liverpool could add a sixth Champions League title to their trophy cabinet if they beat Madrid and Jurgen Klopp's attacking side have been a force in the competition this season, scoring the most goals.
  • Liverpool are the fastest team in Champions League history to score 40 goals in a single campaign. Just the 12 games needed.
  • The fixture is a repeat of the 1981 European Cup final, won 1-0 by Liverpool in Paris to give them a third triumph in the competition in five years. That was Madrid's last defeat in the final of this competition.
  • The sides have met on five previous occasions, all in the European Cup, with Liverpool winning three of those fixtures and Madrid two. The English club have scored six goals; Madrid have managed four.

Predictions

Liverpool have the talent to break down the Real Madrid defence but their own defence has looked suspect. Dejan Lovren, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Loris Karius were poor in the semi-final second leg against Roma and this will have been noticed by Zinedine Zidane and his team.

Going head-to-head with Liverpool in an attacking sense is dangerous but Real Madrid have the superior quality in defence and could restrict Liverpool going forward. Expect to see Liverpool score but also struggle in their own defensive third.

Final Score 2 - 3

Footroom predictions are generally wrong because they predicted juve vs Rm 2-1 and second leg 2-0😝
Bayern vs rm 2-1 and second leg 1-2🤣

Fool you try and predeict the exact scores of football matches, I've been actually making bets off their predictions here, they don't get the score right but their winner is almost always correct

2016 finals Rm 0-1Atm😝
2017 RM 1-3 Juve 👌🏻
All I am saying footyroom predictions not based on players, history, form than a bold predictions. Sometimes comes true but most of the times big miss.. especially in RM case

Prediction from footyroom could happen if Madrid defenders don't have their day and because of Salah. But then I think Ronaldo disagrees. We'll see soon.

As an all-life Real Madrid fan I can tell you there is a huge probability that Liverpool can win. Because Salah.

You hoped juve, Bayern, and Barca to beat RM but none happened. Are you cursed? Sorry no offense sometimes what they want never happen.

I swear if TAA gets cocky against ronaldo and if Mane mis finishes every ball in the final game of the season, we are toasted. TAA has to pull what he did against sane but to ronaldo, who is stronger than sane, and wayyy more experienced. Lovren should stay back and help VVD whos done a spectacular job this season. Gini and Hendo will probably be holding the midfield with hendo going in his deeper role and i hope milner assists salah, mane, and firmino. If we play like how we did against Chelsea, Roma, or even against Brighton where we fluffed alot of chances we will lose. Real Madrid always makes most of their chances.

marcelo and isco going to attack our right side (TAA and Lovren side), not first time teams avoiding attacking van dijk and robertson side, for example Roma 2nd leg and Man utd, but Madrid have their weak side too, Marcelo defensively weak in defending, but very good in attack, 2 of bayern's goals against them is from marcelo side, now imagine Marcelo defending salah, plus Marcelo always go fowards which gonna cost his team playing fast side of Liverpool , now all depends on Ramos or Casemiro how good they are in stopping Salah in case Marcelo screws up.

Even I as a Liverpool fan would have predicted a RM win,
But again its football, and its Liverpool. You simply can't shoulder to shoulder and toe to toe against Liverpool on attacking without sorting out one's defense. I simply have no trust in RM's defense. Liverpool's defense as a team is far better than RM. So, I see Liverpool winning this.
