Very good game! And Ronaldo with a decent serie A debut... However the starting eleven was a tactical failure from Allegri. The co-op with Dybala was almost non-existant, and Cuardado and Costa failed miserably to feed the lonely striker Ronaldo with balls. In turn Ronaldo became very static and had a mediocre first 60 minutes, always surrounded with 2 CBs and 1-2 midfielders. Welcome to the desciplined italian defense! To get into the game he started to drop in the pitch entering other players areas. Allegri had to act, removed Cuadrado and Costa, hence letting Ronaldo to move out to the wing and get further away from defenders and run more with the ball and shoot more. His last 30 minutes were hence pretty good.

A physically strong Mandzukic in a more central role as a target player can keep the CBs busy opening up spaces for Ronaldo, with Dybala in a somewhat free role and you get a very versatile attack... with Pace, technically skilled and strong in the air. Ronaldo as a lonely striker is going to be pretty easy for strong italian defenses. Allegri is however known for changing strategies, which he is also very good at, and probably will avoid having a similar starting eleven in Serie A.

BRAVO for Chievo for the excellent game! I watched the whole match, and it was so clear & visible that at the start, Chievo were so impressed (the conceded goal in the 3rd min didn't helped them as well) by Rubentus, and it took them more than 20 minutes to begin playing their game! After the equalizer (and especially from the start of the 2nd half) it was so clear that they stopped being afraid, regained their confidence and began playing their game, which lead to 2-1!
Thus, we gotta give it to the Chievo boys, who played an excellent game against this so powerful team of Rubentus! Only when one sees their players (& the bench), he/she could get scared! We hadn't seen such a strong Juventus for many, many years! However, they're far from sure Scudetto winners! Napoli, Inter, Roma...

Ppl who're saying shit about CR7, are either haters, or total shitheads 4 football! Although I'll admit 1st that I hate Rubentus, I'll be also say that CR7 played a very good game! First, it's a fact that although Serie A is (OFFICIALLY) the most goal prolific league for 4 years in a row, the defense that's played in it is a lot stronger and tougher than in Spain! So, don't expect him to score 40+ goals in Italy, even if he plays the best season ever & one has to take into an account that he'\s still new in the team, teammates still don't know his movements well & it'll take time till they learn each other & give him more balls for scoring opportunities. Anyone who knows football saw that in the 1st half he played classic striker & in 2nd, he played as left wing & was a lot deadlier!

Ronaldo should take Cuadrado's place, not Mandzukic's

It was a hard game. Ronaldo's performance was simply awesome while there was no goals by him. He didn't seem to be harmonious with his teammates yet, but I'm sure it would be better as the time passes. Anyhow, I'm glad to see our first win!

Good game, not the best from Ronaldo. He seemed isolated. Obviously need sometimes to get used to the team and Serie A.

Nope... Giaccherini keeping that world class Juve defense very busy or their goalkeeper. Ronaldo is Ronaldo... his epicness has that effect on votes.

He never scored 50 goals in a league season... he scored 25 and 26 goals in La Liga in the past two seasons. A reasonable expectation is 25 goals once again in Serie A - and this is at 33-34 years of age.

It was figuratively speaking. But still he did actually almost score 50 in la liga some time ago

He got an assisting machine called Real Madrid, it’s a club problem not a league problem. He did a big mistake refusing Madrid offer, now he will get stats of a regular 9, and Bale if not injured would take his spot.

What a game! I can't catch my breath. Chievo played a very good game. We saw hints of last season's lazy juve. Giaccherini with a top performance, but Sorrentino definitely MOTM. I hope he's ok. Brilliant season opener. It's going to be a good year for Serie A.

Hats off to Stefano Sorrentino what a goalkeeper he was in this match even CR7 was frustrated after that long shot curve. Serie A knows how to comeback; Roma did it against Barcelona and it happened today in this important match as we're collecting the 3 points. I gotta give it to ChievoVerona they gave us a war, nobody knew it would be this thrilling. This happened with Tevez when he first arrived but we won the league with him, same with Hig and now CR7 it's always a slow start he gotta get used to this new team then we'll win the league again. People might say "you guys had a rough time against ChievoVerona how are you gonna win the Champions League" if you're a mature football fan you would know that players need to get used to the new team. FORZA JUVENTUS!!!!!

Liga is not ligue 1, Ronaldo scored that much because there was Kroos, Carvajal, Marcelo, Isco, Benzema, Modric, Vasquez or Ascensio all feeding him. If he isn’t assisted, he won’t score much...
When Higuain or Icardi reach +25 goals with decent teams, with Rm They would reach 50 in série A.

Makes no sense because every player needs assisting from the team... even your dear Messi. It's a teamsport. Also Juve is even more dominant in serie A than real madrid in la liga so your just trying to diminish his achievements.

Nope its about type of players, lately 85% of his goals were assisted, rest was set pieces and pks... Madrid is an assisting machine that’s a fact with them he can reach 40 goals easily in serie A.

Maximum respect for Chievo. Gave it absolutely everything and at times, played great composed football. Ultimately, the difference was the fact Juventus can make substitutions and bring on great players. Sorrentino was immense....and he is 39 years old.

He was talking and moving when being taken off. Just with it being a head collision, I think they didn't want to take any chances.
