first touch, weighting of passes, manipulation and awareness of space, patience, and composure are all lacking in the MLS.. there's something about these games thats got me scratching my head; goals from weird defensive spacing issues, chaotic passages of play where the ball is being booted around like ping pong, and multiple moments were players give up the ball in low-pressure situations.Who cares about the amount of money spent on new clubs or new stadiums or fan support if the QUALITY OF BALL is so embarrassingly low. are we excited to be "blessed with the skill and experience" of players like Villa, Kaka, and Gerrard, or are we embarrassed that we have a low-quality, high-energy league where they can still stand out despite their age? damn.

@ GUNNERS I guess nobody showed up when your crappy team started in the 1800's...."The club's lower attendances than those of other clubs, led to the club becoming mired in financial problems and effectively bankrupt by 1910" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arsenal_F.C.

Try watching a game later in the season when the players have had more time to gel. I expect familiarity with one's team would improve defensive positioning and reduce misplaced passes. Keep in mind these are both expansion teams too, obviously the overall quality is going to be lower but I think you're being a little harsh.

And, to me, Kaka is still damn good despite his age. Check out some footage of him playing for Milan last year, he still has magic in his boots. I hope you give MLS another chance later this year

The payrolls of the clubs are each slightly more than 4 million dollars. For 26-27 players. Bigger clubs can buy 3 or 4 more expensive players for a regular hit on the cap for the first 3 and an extra hit on the cap "luxury tax" on the 4th one. The reason I'm explaining is, for a 20 year old league with such tiny payrolls, what the hell do you expect? It's certainly not going to look like Top 4 soccer, no matter which DP's the clubs sign...

Geez go easy on American soccer, MLS is still in early stages and continues to improve exponentially.

@an american How long have the leagues in England existed? 127? If we don't support our league it will never get better. If we don't take chances, take risks or take the road less traveled then what do we have left? Just a bunch of boring followers that jump on a bandwagon like you. And that's not American. You're better than that. We have the opportunity to build the foundation for a league that will someday compete with any league in the world! Respect our history and learn what it means to be a real fan.Sincerely, The U S of A I BELIEVE! I BELIEVE THAT! I BELIEVE THAT WE!!! I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL WIN!!!!!

Great atmosphere, loved the roar from the crowd for the tying goal. Kaka looked very lively in the 1st half. Hope to see these fans keep it up!
