I have never seen a team so dependant of a single player. ALL Portugal's chances came down to Ronaldo. They didn't deserve the victory, Ghana were just extremely unlucky.

Im pretty sure Ghana's players and officials received money from USA, goalkeeper was like giving the ball to Ronaldo on purpose, they seem they don't want to win, anyway they are money oriented, they don't wanna play as long as they get bonus in cash!

When i see all these comments, i can't understand why you judge Ronaldo. If you don't know , Ronaldo is playing with an injury. He has a limitation while playing....So his performance will be not as like as he played during this season. He has played on this world cup only to help the team, because the team-mates need a leader, they need someone who give some impulse to attack the team opposite . At this moment Portugal is 90% Cristiano Ronaldo 5% Nani and 5% William Carvalho....the rest are weak players....they do nothing on the field without these 3 players.

Portugal is made of :+ 90 % cr7, - 10% nani (even though he scored a goal, he was by far the worst player in the team. Selfish,tried to dribble through 3-4 players repeatedly, waited way too long for most of his passes, lost the ball almost everytime he tried to force himself trough the sideline. I've never seen a player getting lectured by cr7 as many times on the pitch than him and it was hilarious), -15% Eder (i've never seen a player look so lost on a footballfield xD heaps of mistakes,very nervous, allinall a very sad figure), + 5% carvalho (he was alright) and about +30% moutinho ( the only midfield player who organized the team. If portugal had 2 moutinhos they might have gone far ;) )

Be fucking honest to yourself. He wasted like 4-7 chances (3 against goal keeper alone) and still can't score. Ronaldo is the real Ronaldo when he's not at RM (surrounded by many great middle-fields). At Portugal, he has to create chances, he has to pass so that's why he failed cause he's so used to wait for the ball and score.

I don't mind a bit of banter between LM10 & CR7 and BAR vs RM but I never quite understood people obsession with Ronaldo's hair. Whether Messi is better than Ronaldo (which I don't think he is but that's besides my point...), Ronaldo got to his position via EXTREMELY hard work. Messi to obviously but Messi was born gifted, he was dribbling past guys for Barcelona at 8. Ronaldo was his friends goalkeeper at 8 and the goalposts were rocks. So to be at the same level as Messi now, I don't even understand you all laughing about the man having style. Does it mean he's not working hard if he's getting a haircut? Make no mistake 50yr old CR7 is still better than you at your peak. if he is injured and can't train let him do his stuff. Dani Alvez got a haircut, Where's the negative attention..

He gets a haircut coz he can afford one, not quite the same for all of us eh? Seriously even if the man was gay it would still not take away from his footballing skill (ya'll could hate but he's still the better player). So why does his hair? You all are just bored and never have any good banter. I've realised that when Messi doesnt give you something to talk about you all hate on ronaldo's hair, when messi gives you something to talk about you talk about that... Conclusion: some of you Messi fans are jest desperate to win the banter. + is your girlfriend Irina Shayk? Get a Ronaldo haircut, maybe one day it will be? But first do something about your bank accounts too.

You are forgetting one thing....Messi is a Lab Player......he plays soccer because barcelona as gived to him some cells and pills to grow in height and muscles. and the diference is Ronaldo has battled to be the player who is today. that's the difference.

All this hate towards my country, I don't mind. Living in England I know most guys around me are just butthurt. Yes Portugal were a disgrace but when they get a result they're "lucky"... Whether it's a 2-1 to Ghana or a 2-2 draw to USA (the biggest disgrace I've ever witnessed btw). Truth be told Spain were downright crap, Italy overconfident and England, the most critical country out there... Where I am currently typing this from. 2 losses and a goalless draw. Hmm... Hate Portugal all you want but I know you all were dying for a bit of "luck". Well we're all going home so... A better performance from us all in EURO2016!

god, people are really harsh on cristiano. I definetely hate him but it's quite clear that it's just not his day. Not saying he's not fit, but he's not in form going into this game. Weekly cristiano could've easily bury those chance and become a world cup topscorer in 1 game. props to ghana keeper.Even though I don't like cristiano I just disagree when people being really harsh on someone who've give their all. Eder has got to be the worst portugal player EVER and that doesn't help cristiano at all. give this guy a break, he just broke UCL all time record.

Pepe can easily be blamed for Portugal getting knocked out of the group stage. What he did with muller was stupid (even tho in my opinion it wasn't worth a red card). Goal difference is everything in the world cup and if the result against Germany had gone a different way, Portugal would have had a big chance. Portugal also got very unlucky with injuries (Coentrao, helder postiga, almeida). I don't think Eder was ready enough to play in the world cup. He was constantly losing the ball or slowing down a counter attack. See you in Euro 2016 Portugal!

Imo portugals weakest link was not pepe but nani. I mean, yes, pepes stupid rage moment cost them the group stage, but nani was the one who was the most selfish probably trying to make an impression on big clubs for his next club season, but that obviously backfired on him. He was truly selfish (especially in the game against the US). Even ronaldo who is always blamed to play selfish tried his best to pass and circulate the ball through team and i also agree about eder mate ;)
