So this is what happened: Racing Santander players forfeit Copa del Rey tie against Real Sociedad in protest over unpaid wages. Racing players have reportedly gone unpaid for several months, with their club saddled with debt. Sociedad now moved to Copa del Rey semi-final where they will face Barcelona.

Seeing this, I feel bad for Santander. Good luck to Santander and Sociedad

What's more beautiful than what the players is the support the fans are giving them. This is just simply beautiful.

This is clearly the fault of the Spanish FA, Barcelona and Real Madrid. Those two clubs will be the reason why the La Liga folds. Share the TV rights throughout the league so that other teams within the league can generate money. This would NEVER happen in England or Germany!!

i know they get paid for what they do but still i think that a prof player in the level they play should have enough money to make it throw the next payment.imagine to be a fan that watches his team just leave ...

Some players gain 1 million per month while here some didn't get paid for months... This is the "value" of sport we have nowadays.

not being paid because of financial issues, forfit a match that would result in a big fine... Players should just try to get transfered. This isnt going to end well

i have a feeling that if it was juventus instead of real sociedad they would have tried to score a goal while racing players protesting.

Unusual ? hmm I think very usual . They had massive protests two years ago . Same problem still unresolved , I am not talking about just Racing . Whole Spaish FA needs to re-build new financial model that will help clubs generate money that they desperately need .

They are tired of giving away matches so that the money hungry bosses can take "Bet365" money.

Well it's all fair. Why would they do their jobs if they're not getting paid, of course it's a shame that Racing got all the way to quarter finals and had to go out like this! Scumbag owners!!

LOL if Only Barcelona would agree to distribute TV money equally instead of making their own deals :))) If I was you I would not speak a word about this .
