lee is the surname of noble people in korea. as I said below, 90% of koreans didn't have their surname in the ancient era. yet when the slave system was abolished in 1894, they actually stole others' surname and pretended to be noble people. that's why most south koreans share common family name like kim, lee, and park which are surnames of noble people. most of the south koreans cannot even find their own ancesters.
