Objectively speaking, were Stoke even that close to winning? Sure, the final scoreline was tight, but I can't remember Stoke ever controlling the pace of the game or having any legitimate chances besides the bicycle kick in these highlights.
Anyhow, the Premier League is still the world's best league.

No need for you to quarrel which championship is better.You cant make this comparison simply because there isnt such thing as English championship.Its a multinational mixture of english colonies and french players.You have to go to 7th or 8th place in Premier league to find english players.That's why national team of Spain fucks England every time they play against.Whereas even the first teams of Spanish champ have a sufficient number of players either from Spain or Argentina (ex Spanians).Thats why England is disqualified from the first rounds of World Cup every single time.
