1. its a non contact sport so a 'slight push' is a foul
2. Even if it was a dive... have you seen the likes of man utd and chelsea. They look for a penalty if the skid a skin cell.
3. Even if sunderland never got the penalty we still would have won because of how we played on the day.
4. We wont go down and ive said this all along. there are worse teams than us such as hull and burnley. Who we still have to play.
5. Well done lads =)
Sunderland till i die.
@tim the red card was definately necessary darren bent was the last man through on goal with a clear goal scoring opportunity, i dont think he dived he clearly pushed bent over with no intent to win the ball, teams like man utd, chelsea, arsenal and liverpool win penalties most of the time from diving but no one critisises them.. well done the lads.. a good performance was vital and the lads deffinately showed up..
I would say that Sunderland deserve the win, but that red card and penalty was really unneccessary for Bolton, the dude dived for that after a slight push...
the referee should not even give a a red, it was like a dive and a penalty is already enough, it only shows a bad referee system, but a red card is even worst.
with referees like this, it is like encouraging players to dive.
