Most of the goals can be pinned on Mertesacker's awful marking and slow defensive runs. Hummels didn't play great ether but he chipped in with a goal and was definitely the more solid of the two central defenders. Germany was mostly playing an experimental squad (a lot of young players)but you have to give Switzerland credit for taking advantage of the lack of experience.
