la Viola was clearly the better side, Fox speakers are a disgrace to football. oh btw, have you seen Eriksen? can't find him anywhere.

there's a Spurs' fan trolling on the Gazzetta (italian newspaper) with google-translated posts, writing stuff like: QPR would win the Serie A, Serie A is on the same level of the Championship etc. haha, gotta love 'em when they get mad. popcorn stuff 10/10

Give an Italian team something to defend, and you provide them a purpose of existence

Why should spurs change the first eleven????

I guess Poche is putting more importance on West Ham and Chelsea for League and League Cup Final.

everything that tottenham have in terms of resources, high profile money they pay for players and wages is not down to their success, but purely and simply down to tv money. the gulf in income between a club like fiorentina who have improved through organic growth and sustainable spending and tottenham is huge. as a result I would expect that they themselves would expect to beat fiorentina.

yep exactly. that's why i'm twice happy for this result, especially considering that in terms of game quality Fiorentina was blatantly superior. ah man, don't make me think about what our league could be with all the money EPL gets.

haha what? I would much rather tottenham win that fiorentina. I can't stand them! Resentment doesn't breed anything positive. We have got ourselves to into the mess we're in.

nah, despite our recent history with them because of the CL, i'm gonna support them. we need points and also, i'd like to see some mouths shut when it comes to Serie A. despite all the crap we got in it. last but not least, we're Milan, i don't really get touched by all the teasing the Viola do when Milan gets beaten. provincial mentality.

success as in you've won less than Roma since I've been alive.

i understand it is different for non italians. the english also tend to support their teams in europe, even if they dislike them usually. personally for me, I would much rather spurs go through than fiorentina. but I do appreciate it being difficult to understand.

@BALE, that doesn't take away the fact that Spurs are far more resourceful than Fiorentina. which is the juice of the debate here.

It may not be clear on a club basis, but in term of national team results, Italy and Spain are in a different category than England, even France are better.Keeps bringing money and TV shares to justify a supposed strenght, but its not seen on the pitch wich is the only criteria for me, what did Inter, Dortmund, Atletico in CL is amazing enough while TV shares doesnt make players faster or more skillful.

I think it depends on who you refer to when you say 'they said'. Are we talking about genuine football fans, or kids who either come here to get involved in pathetic bragging rights or just to purely make assumptive statements without actually watching the game. The latter being the main reason for why I usually stay away from La Liga and Premier league videos and their comment section. It is either the pathetic ronaldo vs messi debate, or judging a game purely on the names listed on the score-sheet. As for your other point, the premier league is not behind france or Italy. Our clubs might be able to compete in a one off game, but the gulf in strength in depth in massive. Of course that's totally logical. tv shares don't make faster players, but it does allow you to buy them!

Im talking about he average domestic player of each country, if PL want to bring all the foreigners to their league why not, actually whe i heard English Football or Italian im not referring to the foreigners bought by millions but the domestic ones...I give a lot of importance to formation and if you look French best players and prospects, where they were formed : Benzema, Griezmann, Pogba.... If they were at the PLthey wouldnt have the same progression. We arent talking about the samething i never said Calcio > PL, i was actually speaking about the wrong idea that money makes a team strong, Atletico for instance has 1/3 of QPR budget, Villareal 1/6, both would eat them alive if they face.

@milan, btw i was thinking, you should support Fiorentina. if they go on in EL they might drop some points in the league. it may come useful to us, the ball is round, we never know. edit: and i gotta agree with what tiki wrote above.

Tottenham started so brightly!!!! World class volley from Soldado. He needed it!!! But Fiorentina settled in, and they came to WHL and did a job... Hopefully Spurs can get a multiple score draw on the road in Florence next week to go through.
