It was just offside by van Persie. Watched the analysis on TV yesterday. Van Persie didn't touch the ball but he took the keeper's view. So according to the rules offside.
There were many wrong decisions done by the referees this WorldCup so hopefully FIFA tries some technology to reduce wrong decisions.

When you don't touch the ball while in an offside position, you can escape if you don't interfere with play. The keeper's view is blocked so many times in a match, there's one thing that can prevent that from happening and it's called positioning. In my opinion, it was a correct decision

The goal was offside no doubt. Paraguay made a quite different goal against Spain and it didn't count, because the referee said another player was interfering even if he really wasn't. Against Portugal Spain won because of an offside goal by Villa. Many very strange decisions during this tournament. Everbody knows that FIFA is corrupt. Looks to me like Spain bought the world cup. Against Honduras Villa slapped his oppenent in the face. No reaction by FIFA. In 2006 they banned the German player Frings for a similar event. Very strange.

isn't that just typical. filthy uruguayan players crowding the referee after the match, clapping out of sarcasm. there was not one incorrect decision in that match. Van Persie was not offside, and he did not even contact the ball when it was kicked. Schneijder wasn't even passing he was shooting. as the great man would say "suck it and keep on sucking it". Uruguay go home in shame.
