Scott Parker has been named England captain by Stuart Pearce for Wednesday night's friendly international against Holland at Wembley. 

other than Steven Gerrard, choosing Scott Parker to be captain is still a good choice.

As a Spurs fan am delighted to see Scotty be named the captain for now with all the effort he puts in to each game, Stevie G would have been the only other real candidate for the captaincy although I still think he might be given the armband for the Euros.

I was rooting for joe hart. But parker is another good choice

a good talented player and good luck against holland but it will be very hard for england to beat the netherlands... i only hope carroll isnt going to play cuz if he plays he ruins the whole game :D

he's a great mildfieder,he can control England's team, I have full trust on him.

I wanted Stevie G to get it! But Parker seems an ok choice. But I'm just saying Gerrard's got 89 caps and is on his back to form!
