Why is it that people were complaining about the Spanish league a two team league and the English league had many candidates to win it. so far Barcelona is on second place with a 4 point difference from 3 place valencia. But city and united are 10 points from tottenham which is in 3rd place

That is because every season in the Spanish League, there are only 2 specific teams(Real and Barca) that compete for the title and the other Spanish teams rarely play at the level that these 2 teams can. Whereas in the Premier League, things are not so predictable. Could you have foretold at the beginning of the season that Man City will be top of the table at the end of the calendar year? And the EPL is never a 2 horse race, the highly rated teams like City, United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool can be defeated even by teams like Stoke City, Newcastle, Tottenham(who are now higher placed than Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool) and many more. And the big guns rarely have it easy when they have away games. And this season it looks like its between City and United, last time it was between Chelsea and United unlike the Spanish League where there is total dominance by Real and Barca alone.

Ur ignoring the fact that barca and Madrid have both lost by teams that aren't that great. And ur also forgetting Valencia won the league a few years back before they had financial problems. But this year the EPL has been two teams only. Arsenal Chelsea and liverpool r too far to win unless city and united lose most games. And Liverpool arsenal and tottenham r just like Valencia Sevilla and villarreal from Spain. They r great teams but don't have the depth and strength to win the league

i think the difference is that if there is only one match from LIGA BBVA u could watch a year, it would obviously be EL CLASICO (madrid v barca). But in the Premier League it's a hard choice, Arsenal v Liverpool / Man Utd v Chelsea / Man City v Man Utd / Tottenham v Arsenal etc.

@raimondo90 I think Tottenham, Chelsea , Arsenal are still in it. Both Manchester teams are in the Europa League, so once its matches begin it's gonna be Wednesdays or Thursdays all the way. The players will be tired or will be rested for bigger games which may influence results of EPL matches. The lower teams will just be waiting for a slip up by the Manchester teams.
