Kane dived in the first penalty! He should get banned like Niasse did. Second penalty was NOT a penalty. What a horrible horrible officiating!!!

2 undeserved penalties. Liverpool should have won this match. The stupid referees don't know anything. They robbed Salah of being the hero and they ultimately robbed a victory for Liverpool.

I'm not a fan of either team, but... First pen was a dive, a clear dive. The second though was 100% correct - Lamela got kicked, no doubt. How many goals was Van Dreck already responsible for?

I hate both teams but I must admit Salah is a wonderful player. And what a strike from Wanyama!

What does the "better ref" exactly mean? If it means the one who referees more fairly and better than any others, that's true because we can beat them on fair terms.

Wow... that's some b.s. That was not a penalty. Lamela should've been awarded a yellow. Did he come back from a recent Hollywood trip?

Well, no, he simply got kicked in the back by VVD, and correctly won a penalty. Maybe you just don't understand what a foul it?

Actually he didn't get kicked VVD pulled out but the intention and timing of his dive was pretty spot on. I would have awarded it on first look. Replays say no though.

Liverpool should have more option in Defensive Midfield. for the late stage of games.

It's the clearest penalty you will see this season.

So next time A.M. are winning against Barca or R.M. "and dont deserve it" the ref should just award 2 soft pens (at best) in the final minutes? What might or might not have happened had the first pen not been given, is simply not the point, the point is diving for that breakthrough should not be awarded...TWICE! Just because you feel like they deserve it. Other then pens it was a fair match with beautiful goals! Salah should get a new SUPER deal, the next Messi.

So next time two penalties are correctly awarded, we should just accept the whining and complaining by people who don't understand the rules of the game, and who are ludicrously biased towards their own team?

Nah. I think I'll just applaud the refs for making absolutely the right call.

@Lodatz you are the most biased and dumb fan I have seen in my life. If Liverpool were the team that got awarded two underserved penalties, you would not agree with anything you are saying.

Kane and Lamela should both get game ban, what a dramatic dive by Kane, lunges into the air and apparently gets paralized below waist before landing. Personally i dont think banning Lamela would make any differance in the race for top 4 but banning Kane would. Watched both dives a hundred times and thats what they were...dives. The fact that Karius saved the first pen does not mean Kane should get away with the dive! FA need to have some backbone on this and give no special treatment to the Flying Englishman!

When Suarez flopped all over the pitch in England, I never heard Kopites crying for bans or VAR. In fact, you defended him.

Both penalties were completely legitimate. Maybe you just understand the rules of football? You see, when a defending player makes illegal contact to bring down an attacking player within the box, this then results in a penalty. Since that's what happened in both cases, the referee called this game absolutely perfectly.

If by that you mean the referee was excellent and deserves to be praised for making the correct decision despite all the whining from the Kop, then you are right.

The first penalty should have been offside in 1st place. The 2nd wasnt a foul. Liverpool was robbed big time.

Rip football and justice. They used v.a.r and gave those 2 penalties? Goodbye justice. The first penalty should have been offside in 1st place. Liverpool was robbed big time.
Lodatz 6 years ago
Tottenham Hotspur, England 150 4992
No, the first penalty wasn't offside because Lovren mis-kicked it. This is clearly in the laws of the game, and even the Professional Game Match Officials Limited have stated that the penalty was legitimate. The 2nd one was as clear a penalty as any you will see this season. Liverpool were lucky to escape this match with a point, given how badly Spurs out-played them in the 2nd half.

Ok everyone calm down. Liverpool were the better side in the first half but Spurs absolutely dominated them in the second. The Wanyama goal was insane. Now for the penalties. The first one there was contact but in my opinion Kane was offside. Regardless though he missed it so move on. If anything that penalty miss rejuvenated Liverpool. They were confident again. As for the second penatly. People need to take their rose tinted glasses off. It was a clear penalty. Van Dijk Knee's Lamela in the back. There's no disputing that. If the Liverpool fans and Spurs hate mob dried their tears away for a few second theyd be able to see that.

He wasnt offside though, Law 11 states if a defender deliberately touches it there is no offside, Lovern deliberately tocuhed it, and Kane wasnt interfering with play, Lovern's job is to clear it and he stuffed up. The actual penalty wasnt though, but it was missed anyway so oh well. Second penalty I agree with.

It was very satisfying to see Klopp eat shit after celebrating the Salah goal wildly. Wait until the final whistle next time before running down the touchline like a maniac.

I dont know how any one can say those two penalties weren´t penalties. Goal keeper clearly never touches ball but does clip Kane, and Lamela received literally the worst kick in the but i´ve seen this year.. Fair result, Salah amazing...
