Liverpool squard is always not concentrated in the last minutes of most matches during these few seasons. Same old fault happened again in this match.

Darren Fletcher said on BT Sports last night that if the omens are to be believed Whenever Liverpool have won the UCL fixture in Germany they have went on to win the UCL that year and they have done it twice. Now that Liverpool have won again in Germany, Am I The only one hoping Liverpool will do it again?? xD

People who are saying Hoffenheim was unlucky... They need think first that Liverpool bench their best player Philippe Coutinho... + they still not buy any replacement of him... And they made the carrier of Philippe Coutinho like pendulum... I think they are doing the same thing what Man United did with De Gea. Because he don't have any release clause Liverpool force him to play with them or sit in the bench......

watched the match and I thought Liverpool were very, very lucky to come out like that. Let's see what the 2nd leg brings.

only 3 german team in UCL if Liverpool win, with strong german club like Schalke or Leverkusen or Wolfsburg all out of german top 4,its depend how leipziq and Dortmund perform, true liverpool are lucky not to concede penalty and that last min header , but hoffenheim also lucky liverpool have 5-7 golden chances and only score 2 ,

@LOSTerry: he was genuinely talking about the game. Whats the point of starting to talk trash about how german teams are faring in UCL? You're literally reacting like you had been injured, although he merely gave his opinion on the match. smh

Alberto Moreno's performance is embarassing. He has made close to 10 mistakes which could have potentially costed us goals. Klopp should have subbed him for these performances.. its curtains for Moreno.. pls leave the club...
Players are really exhausted after the match. Its going to affect us in the weekend.
The current midfield three isn't good enough. Just goes on to show how vital Coutinho and Lallana are.. FSG has to offer him giant contract to make him stay.. atleast for one or two seasons

Yes him and Lovren are pretty bad in this game. Making too many mistakes and almost cost Liverpool the game.

Oh hush up!! Moreno played well today. He was great going forward and did not perform any more badly than our other 3 defenders. Disappointed that Tent-Alexander tried playing ref rather than mark/tackle or defend the ball which he could have easily done. Hope he learnt a lesson there.

Totally agree on Moreno. Or, Calamity Alberto. He would probably be great as a winger, but he has no business in an already shaky defense. Never are you going to see him in position, somebody always has to cover his spot on a counterattack, he is hurting a lot more defensively than he might give as an attacking option. Bring Milner back, forget Moreno.

Hoffenheim did not live to the expectations but kudos to Liverpool. 5 teams in UCL from England.

What? Liverpool did not live up. They did nothing for the game. Got pretty lucky. Hoffenheim, on the other hand, was unlucky.

Which expectations? Liverpool was the odds-on favourite, liverpools budget is way higher than hoffenheims and liverpools players are way more expensive then hoffenheims. yes coutinho didnt play but on the other hand, hoffenheim lost rudy to bayern. it was an intense and good game from both teams and liverpool deserved the win because they had the better strategy.

Hoffenheim could have won the game had they not given up with around 85'. Don't want to single out players but Wagner my goodness, play onside you lazy Bendtner. Things went against Liverpool but they didn't give up.

Also Impressive Alexander-Arnold makes a step from academy and James Milner from a free transfer. $0 spent on transfer fees and 2 goals.

Well played L'pool.

About Wagner, I thought I was the only one who noticed that! I spotted him several times in an offside position and the guy wasn't even trying to get back onside while the ball was still in play and his teammates were waiting so they could feed him a through ball. Very disappointing. Not to mention Joachim Low was there in the stadium, watching. Hoffenheim could have easily managed a draw or win if they had taken their chances. But overall their play in the final third lacked the cutting edge. The penalty was shit as well. Just looking at that shit run-up, I could tell he (Kramaric I think it was?) was gonna miss. I hope they give a better performance in the 2nd leg. Talking about Lord Bendtner, did you see his latest goal. DAYUM that's one cracking finish with the outside of the boot.

MOTM for me Alexander-Arnord, he played so well, both defend and attack. His position is top class and he ends up with a wonderful free kick. I am also super impressed with the way Firmino and Salah played, these two are explosive and their decision making are great. The subs from Klop also work very well. The only slight problem with Liverpool is their CB, both Matip and Lovren got exposed quite a lot in the early and late game. If this issue is not resolved, then Liverpool will be in some future trouble. Mane is a bit selfish in his play, and his finishing is not up to his usual level, his decision making is also questionable as he gave the ball away in dangerous situations.

Sky is the limit for Trent Alexander Arnold.
I wonder what happens to our defense in premier league? They Played really well here.If they would have done the same in Watford Game we won't have conceded a single goal.

Congrats on the win, it was a very entertaining game. I enjoyed it so much. Maybe Klopp should sub Grujic in a bit earlier for Mane, as he did give away the ball more often later in the game.

Oh and Lovrren is the culprit for the early penalty! If it was in then the scoreline would be 2-2 and it would be a very different game afterwards.
