Now that Arsenal have reached their first European semifinal in years, I think Arsenal fans should stop whining about trying to sack Wenger.

Why? There's no rivalry between Liverpool and Tottenham lmao and I doubt Spurs fans will care since they've pretty much secured UCL football next season by finishing 4th, 13 points ahead of the might gunners lmao might end up finishing ahead of you guys as well, so yeah I doubt Spurs fans give a crap fam

Much prefer to see Arsenal face them earlier. Arsenal can use the home game to great advantage to be honest. The one game kind of thing is more of Aletico than Arsenal, they always perform in these kinds of things. Either way, I want to see Arsenal to go all the way and win it.

Arsenals best chance of beating Atletico is in a 1 off game in the final if they both get there. Can't see us beating Atletico over 2 games in the semi.

shocking 1st half, as much as I am not a fan of him, welbeck saved the team again lol.

CSKA played a good game, but Arsenal is up to the task.

The first half is terrible by Arsenal and I am geniunely worried about it.

It is no other than Welbeck and Eleny to save the date. Before the game, lots of people make joke about them. But I stood firm to defend Welbeck, he can miss very easy chance, he nonchalant style can make a of people gasp. However, he is a big moment player, he always perform in important game where you need him the most. He's not clinical enough, but he is a very hardworking player. Seeing how he runs all the way back to help the team to defend, and the next moment he already moves up, makes one very good turn, make a simple pass to Eleney, and intelligently make the run into the good position and wait for the return, then score. It's that simple.

I have no doubt that he will perform. He played extremely well against CSKA in the first leg, and against AC Milan, and now he performs again. You may dislike him for missing easy chance, and not clinical enough, but with the other attributes like work rate, positioning, and now he actually posses the awereness and interception as well, he is a very important player for any team.
He made like 4 or 5 very important interceptions and turn defend into attack in an instant, but the other Arsenal players, except Eleney, really have a bad game (or nerves I would imagine), so they waste a lot of counter-attacking chance. As I said before, give him a proper striker partner, then Arsenal will be amazing with him.

He is like a Park Ji Sung type of player, he's an engine that provides both attacking and defending options.

Eleny also had an amazing second half, bossing the midfield, made some great splitting pass that results in two assists.

Kinda dissapointing with Arsenal defense, they need to improve on that if they want to win the Europa League. The defense, as a whole is a mess in this game. Both goals by CSKA are gifted by poor defending from Arsenal. Ozil, Ramsey and Wilshere did not play well either, in the first 65 minutes, CSKA completely controlled it.

+100. Couldn’t have said it any better. Not to mention Iwobi is terrible at finishing.

Thanks Amir, just glad Arsenal won it and advance. Would love to see 5 England again next season in the CL, we really need it.

And Welbeck could have score another goal or got another assist near the end. He made one touch extra, he should either shoot the first time or make a simple return ball to Ramsey, but he took one step extra. This kind of thing is also typical of Welbeck lol, as he felt the game is probably winning at that point (CSKA needs 2 more goals in the extra 3 minutes), and he tries to do something fancied again (I saw this many time in ManU game, and it can be quite upsetting seeing it again lol). But hey, start him again the semifinal and he will do great for Arsenal.

Yea, I’m hoping to get Atleti now rather than later tbh, and play the second leg at home. I think with a little edge we could win EL. I really hoped Aubameyang could play though, he’s absolutely superb. And I agree defence needs to be sorted, hopefully we can surprise and sign Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli, he’s very good.

I knew Welbeck would perform well in big games! He always liked that.

Missed a sitter goal, then scored a beauty lol. Although, this goal is simply too awesome, no wasteful movement at all. Touch, turn, pass, move, get the return, curl and goallllllllllllllll!

that was the most un-Welbeck goal he has ever scored, so clean, totally agree.

I didn't know how to explain, but is just... oh well typical Welbeck thing.

He didnot have the killer instinct most forward has, but he made it up with his work rate, positioning and movement. Plus, he always performs in big important game. Just give him a world class striker, and Arsenal can make wonder. It has a lot to do with his mentality. In normal game, he likes to do fancied stuffs and make some lobbing *cough cough* attempt, and it never works.

In big game, he tends to simplify things down quite a bit, and he can creates wonders from it. Long shot, movement, get into the right position, high pressure, running non stop, interception, powerful head and busting pace, he has it all.

Before the game, I think Welbeck would perform well in big match, and I was right!

He's that kind of player, in normal game, he can play terribly because he did not finish well as most strikers (lacking killer instinct to be honest) and he sometimes becomes too fancied with his move. However, once he simplifies things down, like in important, where he normally plays things very safely, his decision and movement and work rate is top notch. I really enjoy the way he scored the goal today, very simple and artistic at the same time. No wasteful in movement, get the ball, one touch, hold and turn, pass a simple ball, move into the right position, get a return, and curl the ball into the net! Simply sublime!

Yea, me too mate! Usually when a player gets into a good goal scoring chance I scream gooaal, and I thought he would put it away. Very happy to know I’m right.
