I've never understood this super negative mindset. Football is football, enjoy.

Is the football in costa rica world class? Should the players be ridiculed for it constantly?

You are wrong, PSG is strong in UCL. Winning their groups and beating the likes of Barca and Bayern Munich is not being weak. PSGs problem is that they have crumbled when it mattered the most in the playoff. It is frustratingly bad, but it doesn't make them all weak.

@neurop no it is not world class but we do have a saying here that I share with you.. "the swine shall remain one even if full of perfume". So thats the point exactly. French Football isn't world class so why spray perfume over it? It's a shite league and being 'Champions' of League 1 is almost the same as Champions of Costa Rica football League.

France won the world cup, french football cant be more worldclass than that. And Paris being the city that produces the most young worldclass talent in the world. French CLUB football on the other hand doesnt have the TV contracts that teams in a few other leagues have, plus they pay much higher taxes. So french CLUB football cant compete economically unless there is a sugar daddy like in PSG. These constraints puts them in a position where they are being robbed of their talent by other top leagues.

We are used at trolls laughing at ligue 1 but when you start ranting about french football you just need to sit your *ss down and ponder about the lack costa rican talent.

btw french cuisine is regarded as the best in the world, we would just pour some Chanel on that ham you call swine.

But it's not that bad, it's the 5th European league. No one tries to argue that it's the greatest thing in the world but for some reason people love to shit on it.

I've always assumed that the Ligue 1 bashing was a way of indirectly attacking PSG - fine, so be it.

That being said, if you consider all football that isn't Barca, Real, or EPL top 6 as 'mickey mouse then you've just got a totally narrow minded view of the sport.

@_Pelle_ no I am not, I said french cuisine is the best and Paris is my favorite city in the world, I have been there 5-6 times and hopefully I can buy a place there in 10 years or so.

I say TRUTHS. Costa Rica football is ALSO shite and I don't care that it is. It just is. No matter how much it may 'hurt' others.

Shit is a relative term - that's what you don't understand. Yes, the league is inferior to a few top leagues that are much wealthier. To then denigrate all players in it (pro players that are fucking unreal) because it's not in that very top tier just shows bad faith on your part.

If not, why don't you go on every other page and do this?

If they had only lost MBappe, but they also lost Mendy, Sidibe, Lemar, Bernardo Silva, Kurzawa, Fabinho, and before that James and Martial. If they kept them all, Monaco would have a killer team currently. But with this much talent drain, it's hard to reload every year no matter how good your scouts and academy are.

Well they're a talent factory but also a selling club commercially speaking. They might get some season every now and then where enough young prodigies come out at the same time to make a really impressive showing for a year or two, but they're bound to be bought up by bigger clubs sooner rather than later if so. Basically the same situation as what Ajax is currently experiencing this season

dude Moutinho was the heart and soul of the team
losing him to wolves just crashed the team definitely
especially after losing all those stars you mentioned ..
no wonder Jardim left
i guess he came back for a good salary and a promise that his next team wont be sold or budget to buy players

Neymar and Mbappe are back, no more losing. Welcome back from injury, Neymar <3. Maybe stay in PSG for another year, Mbappe because I have a feeling Neymar is gonna assist him a lot now that he's back and give him all the tools he needs so when he goes to a tougher league he'll be ready. I'll be back, Mbappe.

Monaco have won the Ligue 1 title 2016/2017 season then PSG won it back 2017/2018 but Monaco are the ones who broke the streak because PSG has been winning the Ligue 1 title 4 years in a row in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 then Monaco broke it when they won the 2016/2017 season. Monaco were beasts back then I don't know what happened to them. Some say, it's Mbappe's departure but the team overall was organized and had a winning mentality.

Basically all their key players were bought up by PSG and various Premier League clubs the following transfer window, pretty simple lol. Football is sadly ruled by money
