I would give anything to have a player like B Silva. He can create, he can counter-attack, he will win the ball back and get passed one or two players and makes a beautiful pass. His only weakness might be he gets tired at later stages of the game. Brilliant player.

Sorry Micheal_Jordan, before loosing 3-2 against Barca, Rayo Vallecano was producing such football. That is Celta Vigo style to play and many others

Time for Jose to be sacked.....any manager that has no respect for his team in victory or defeat does not have to be manager....we all know the players are millionaire primadonanas but it is the manager's fault anyway if he fails to motivate them

You're right waynelee.
He just proves that EPL can change the system and a little bit like in Spain :) :)

Unless Klopp can stop him. I don't see Chelsea hitting them, even though Chelsea look better this season. Spurs just never follow through with their form too. Arsenal seem to be way more solid too like Chelsea but just need time to get to full throttle. United, my team... don't even haha. But Liverpool have what it takes.

Mata were angry at Sterling because he is Spaniard, in spain they hate showboating to humiliate, especially when his team is losing, they consider it as disrespectful, thats why even Pep talk to sterling after the game end, i bet Herrera and De Gea will feel the same, anyway congrats to City, seems no one can stop them so far, cant wait for City-Chelsea clash, Pep tiki taka vs Sarri ball.

Pep doesn't even play Tiki-Taka, that's why he's successful. He adapted his play and made it way more faster and direct that his Barca days. Mou hasn't adapted and that's why his once incredible tactics are becoming redundant. Just like Spain keeping that system and flopping in competitions after Tiki-Taka was countered. That's what makes Pep amazing.

So, do you guys say that if we just switched managers manutd would have won with pep?? Pep is great with his ideas, sure, but he is the luckiest manager ever. When has any manager got to play fantasy football? You think wenger. sarri. ancelloti, simeone mourinho won't be able to build amazing teams if they got exactly the players they wanted? This manc team has all the players that pep wants. 9 out of 11 players are his signings while only 2 player on that sheet is Mourinho signing.

While I agree that Pep is just playing football manager with his unlimited budget, Mourinho spend 400M already in United and have no right to complain..

Wtf are you talking about. Liverpool and Man u and Chelsea have spent comparable sums of money to City but aren't as good. Thats down to the tactics.

Man U spend 70m on Lukaku, and 90m on Pogba, both more than any fee City have ever payed for a player. Chelsea and Liverpool's goalkeepers cost more than any City player. City dont pay more than a set amount of money for players also, and they lose a lot of biddings because of it. They lost Alexis Sanchez to United, lost Jorginho to Chelsea, took more than 2 years to sign Mahrez, etc.

Don't forget that he makes all of that signings because of the aging player like Sagna, Clichy, Toure, Navas, etc.

To answer your question simply, no Pep couldn't win the team with this current MU squad. You do bring up a good point that 7 (It is actually 7, not 9. David Silva, Sterling, Aguero and Fernandinho were all already at the club when Pep took charge) of the City players are Pep signings, compared to only 2 of United's players being a Mou signing. However, this lineup is not the most common lineup for MU this season. Players like Martial and Shaw are only playing this season because they are in form, and Mou signings (Lukaku, Sanchez) are not in form. Even then, 4 out of the 7 players with the most minutes in the league for MU this season are Mou signings, while 4 out of 7 players with the most minutes at City are Pep signings. (1/2)

According to transfermarkt, Pep's net spend at City (Bought - sold) is 447.39 Mil Euros while Mou has a total spending of 350.1 Million Euros. Now if you take into account that 3 of the top 5 most paid players in the EPL are United players (Pogba, Lukaku and Sanchez), while only De Bruyne is the only player in that top 5 from City, that difference in transfer spending is reduced even more. Therefore, Mou needs to stop complaining about not being able to sign his players. It hurts to defend Pep and Man $hitty, but they are not playing fantasy football, they are spending their money wisely. We as United fans need to stop using money as an excuse for our lack of performance and passion on the field. Mou has had 3 years and it is clearly not working, time to go.

La ligua is the temple of fantasy footbal. Pep is telling you in EPL, it is time for you to change. To be sure to win a game, be sure to possess that game, and now individual tactics will do the rest

I am happy that the replies are sane, thanks. Well, i agree with most of you too but i want to clarify that when i meant fantasy football, it wasn't just money but getting the exact player you want. if you recollect fantasy teams are all same budget and you get to select each player as you want. Similarly, i meant pep has exactly the players he wants for his system and he gets it. Money has become a bit irrelevant now because of the crazy money. Also a big reason is Txiki, he built the team at barca with pep and he again set up manc. But manu bought random people without any plan. Hence we see no harmony. Also mourinho with his mourning doenst help that case. It is the same reason that some smaller clubs function greatly as a unit but ultimately fail in big matches due to lack of quality.

Mourinho is more suited to China or Qatar.. the only way he can win a game against a quality team is when he gets super lucky like against Juve

None of these players you mentioned are creative players. I love them all, but we have been missing a creative player since Coutinho left that's why we were trying to sign Fekir. We also don't have players that can keep position like City does. We often create our own problems by losing the ball and giving the opponents a chance to score. If you ask Liverpool fans they will tell you we're missing players like the Silvas, KDB, or even Fernandinho but mostly creative players that can keep the ball for a period of time without losing it.

How is it competitive these days? Man city won the league by a landslide last season and accumulated 100 points which shows how shit the other top 5 were

Back in the invincible days there were man United Chelsea and Liverpool who actually gave a challenge and not rolled over

In the invincible' s season, Arsenal still had like 12 draws or something. Thats still a lot. Not really domination.

Which proves my point of better competition back then. Man city were scoring 6 goals for fun last season against the bottom lesgur table opponents which only would've happened 2 o 3 times max in 2004. Had city played in 2004 they would have struggled believe me only kids will say otherwise

Sarri and Emery have done more in a few months than Mourinho has managed since June 2016 with £300M plus to spend.

If Man City win the Premier League unbeaten they will be better than the Arsenal invincibles of 2003-04. It's much harder to do nowadays.-
