When messi scored that third goal, I actually left my living room. JUST HOW. Anyway. Suarez scores the hard goals and flops the easiest. Wtf

Messi would be the g.o.a.t if was able to do same for country and different clubs in Europe. For now Ronaldo is the g.o.a.t based on this criteria.

Great performance overall from FC Barcelona, looking forward to see them play, Liverpool, Juve or City, if they beat United.

Rating: ter Stegen 7, Sergi Roberto, 6, Pique 8, Lenglet 7, Alba 8, Busquets 8, Rakitic 6, Arthur 9, Vidal 9, Suarez 8, Messi 10 (Semedo 5, Coutinho ?, Alena ?)

They'll play in the semifinals (if they beat United) against the winner of Liverpool vs. Porto.

I know. I'm not just talking about the semifinals but the tournament as a whole. City-Barca would be such an interesting clash to watch, but also Juve-Barca would be amazing since it would be Ronaldo versus Messi

Yep. We played football while they were doing the math. Perhaps counting the number of injured Utd players and solving some probability equations.

the ballon d'or TOTALLY lost all of the reputation by not voting Leo Messi as the best player on this planet.
they have to vote him again and again... it's just as it is.
5th best hahahha... NO MORE RESPECT OF THIS TROPHY.
Messi should boycott the event when they vote him this year.
IF.. maybe they vote me or my father first :)))

I agree that he was the best player last season, but I am amused that you thought Balon'dor had any reputation at all. That says how successful their PR team has been. People need to understand what Balon'dor is and stop complaining. It's the same as a parliament seat and hence no one is going to vote for THE best person but for the person that is best at keeping their interests. It is NOT A meritorious award.

It is not a pity that Messi or Ronaldo did not win, but it is a pity that they are evaluated by Balon'dor victories.

Not that I disagree that it was a joke to name Messi the 5h best, but what do you mean when you say that it is the same as a parliament critlord?
0
critlord 3 months ago
Manchester United 0 139
Well, Ballon'dor is an award conferred by the media. Each year one journalist from each country lists his top 5 players. There is no merit or anything. Just what that journalist thinks, it's just an opinion. If there's anyone in this world that has an agenda and propaganda, that is the media houses. Also, journalists are all about stories for the highest PR and for this they try to strike a relationship with players and high profile people in the industry. That is how football journalism works now more or less. So when a journalist is friends with the Madrid base and Perez, he is not going to do anything to upset them. And when it comes to voting they don't dare vote against those players. Cuz those players and Perez will then shut him out and he won't get the inside scoop anymore.

I got goosebumps watching that third Messi goal and I am a Chelsea fan. What an outstanding individual this lad is ! You have to be a delude of the highest order to rank Ronaldo above Messi. Messi does things on the pitch that other players cannot and he does it in such a beautiful, magnificent and graceful way. When people talk of the greatest players of all time, Portuguese Ronaldo barely gets a mention and that is for a reason. Messi, Pele, Maradonna, Zidane, Ronaldinho etc all gets a look in first. Football connoisseurs like me know being a goal machine simply does not you the greatest player of all time. It's how you play, how you leave people in awe and questioning how did he do that, and Messi does that effortlessly more than anyone else. GOAT !!!

So youre trying to say attacking players can only be considered goats? How do players like maldini yashin cafu makelele etc defensive minded players be called goats? So what youre trying to is goal machines actually do matter and contradicted yourself

How do defensive minded players like maldini cafu makelele etc be considered goats if you said goal machines are not what makes a goat. Stop contradicting yourself and avoiding the question because you fully know you got exposed on that one now making hissy excuses lmao

Harlem, what part of "being a goal machine simply does not [make] you the greatest player of all time" don't you understand? SilverLining says "A does not necessarily cause B" and you induce that he says "B, if and only if A+k"! Total fallacy. I get why SilverLining does not answer, because there's nothing contradictory in his remarks, and obviously you're the one who fails to understand. But I have time, go on, what is it that you don't get?

Lmao another retard . When he listed other goats such as pele maradona zidane etc they all had more or less of an attacking role and mentions ZERO defensive minded players because he doesn't regard defenders in goat category. It is contradictory if you're not a thick twat because he says goal machines aren't what make a goat so that implies defenders can be goats but then goes onto disregarding defenders what a Muppet you are and this guy probably same under under same account lmao trying to prove a disabled point

Under same mindset more like. So he has to count all possible players from all positions just to satisfy an idiot like you? It's not contradictory to count the well-known examples from history, and you obviously don't know what implication is. Go on, jerk off a lil more with stupid arguments. It's fun.

So why did he name FOUR attacking players??? Dumb fool he could've listed like 2 attacker and 2 defenders it's not like it takes hours just to write that lmao acting like writing up a defenders name is the equivalent of a university dissertation what a moron. Keep hiding behind your keyboard you keyboard warrior you probably haven't come out of your mum's council flat in months kid.

Messi's third goal is probably the best goal scored this season! And one of the best goals I have ever seen in entire life. Ronaldo's bicycle kick against Juve last year and Sheva's goal for Milan against Juve are on my list too. So many masterpieces out there, but these three stand out.

I would agree with you Sergii. And yet footyroom/le fix didn't include it in their top 10 goals of the week. It really does bring to light that the people that put those top 10's together might never have set foot on a football field themselves.
