Mandzukic-Ronaldo is turning into a really fearsome attack.

Damn 8 games and already half the assists he got all of last season. Ronaldo seems to be changing his playstyle which I really like.

Ronaldo's ability to adapt and change is incredible! You don't expect this from attacking player. Usually, it is midfielders who are more adaptable as they age and use their other strengths to perform up to world class standards.

No non-existent penalties, no tap-ins! It's gonna be a sad affair for the Portuguese bimbo!

@inoebene
He never said it was. I myself am wondering if they have a "default" formation so to speak

It's about Allegri. He is known to change. Which is good and bad. Bad if it confuses the team, which it doesn't seem to do in Juve. And good because it gives the team the ability to adapt to different games

Napoli's not looking like how they were last season... losing Jorginho and Sarri has a very big impact i suppose

clearly you're just talking from your ass and didn't even watch the actual Match and just giving your comment from the highlight only.

LOL 99.999 percent of comments on this website as just generic hindsight rubbish. Of course he didn't watch the game. Napoli were brilliant. It just so happens Juventus are even more brilliant.

Ronaldo with 3 assists. There is no way you could deny him the assist on the second goal. He's forced a save with a fierce shot that Ospina could only parry onto the post. The ball has come off the post and conveniently into the path of Mandzukic who couldn't miss. Great great great game, especially in the first half. Both teams are a credit to themselves and Serie A. Ferocious tempo and high level of technical play.

That's not an assist. Yes he was behind that goal but his intention was not a pass to Mandzukic, nor was it a "lucky" pass. It was a deflection on the post after a save. And that is not a definition of an assist.

It's in the same phase of play. It also wasn't 'his intention' to pass to bonucci as he was clearly heading to score. I understand that it wasn't a direct assist, but without his shot, Mandzukic wouldn't have had a tap in.

counts as an assist in some leagues

While he obviously was involved in the goal, save-to-post-to-goal does not count as an assist. Just like hitting the post and someone scoring the rebound doesn't count as an assist.
