As a casual passerby of Atalanta, that Zapata guy is a TANK. Congratulations and best of luck in the upcoming UCL

Well deserved Atalanta! You fought a brave and (most importantly) clean and honest battle, and deserved it! CONgrats! I just hope you won't sell half of the team this summer (as you do each previous) and start building a new team from the start of the new season. That is of course, if you wanna do something significant in UCL too, of course!

Unlike previous seasons, they don't really have outstanding assets to sell. It is simply a very good unit of players. Maybe Castagne could attract interest along with Ilicic, but the rest aren't really of an age or calibre to generate big fees. Plus, they'd most likely only move if its to another champions league club. Atalanta go straight into the group stage - none of these players would want to forego such a chance.

@milanlamiavita From what I've read (even before the end of the last round) Ilicici already made a deal with Napoli (for a double bigger wages than what he makes in Atalanta). So, if others follow him as well (although I COMPLETELY AGREE with you, that unlike the previous 2, 3 seasons, they don't have as many youngsters to sell), that'll be a truly fucked up scenario! Because, the question we'll have to put ahead would be: "what was the point in this fight, if you gonna go to UCL just to make that minimum of 35-40 mil from the group stage, & embarrass yourselves & Serie A along the way?! Just to fuck up AC Milan?!?!"
But... these days I read that this shouldn't be the case, as Gasperini made EXACTLY THAT a priority to sign a new contract, which he did... So, we'll see!

I'm not even shocked. Atlanta are kicking ass left and right and I'm so happy for them. They're one of the Serie A teams who are becoming at the names of AC Milan, Inter Milan, Roma and Napoli
